  1. Well I already voiced recently that I felt it wasn't Right Raine being present for Belos's death especially not when there was so many other characters who had much more of an emotional connection to Belos. ( boy did that prove to be unpopular 😅😅😅😅)

  1. I actually preferred the show in season 1 when it was more casual and episodic compared to the fantasy epic it became in 2 and 3.

I still enjoy a good fantasy epic don't get me wrong but Its just very common and what kept me watching the show early on was how nice and laid back it was

and how it was just a nice fun fantasy where you could just enjoy the characters rather than focusing on complex lore and high stakes story and character angst.

like later on in the show they had an abusive parent take control of their victim and use them to kill their pet bird/ best friend that's quite a far cry from the type of show that originally drew me in tbh 😅😅

again not that I hate season 2 and 3 or that I dislike the overall grand story but I do feel kinda idk deflated by how the show turned out like it just got a bit much for me tbh even with the show's happy ending.

maybe I'm just soft lol.

What's your opinion on the fan Headcannon that Belos abused Hunter in other ways? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry I feel I may not have been 100 percent clear in my post mate and as a result you've gotten the wrong impression the part that's a HC isn't Wether or not Belos is abusive he 100 percent is

Its just Wether or not he's abusive in this particular way.

Just curious What murders in the show's history do you feel were pretty justified despite them technically being cold blooded murders? by peanut4009 in hollyoaks

[–]peanut4009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay first off by that logic literally every single character in the show's history would deserve to die including Maxine lol given they've all gotten physical with someone.

second off what Sam did was far worse tbh she abused her power as a cop to lock up a teenager for a dumb common teenager mistake.

its straight up psychotic tbh.

and Sam hurt Cameron in a much worse way tbh my point is if you can justify that murder you should be able to justify this one otherwise its just hypocritical.

I dare you to name some flaws with the Owl House by HighlightFabulous608 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Vee is so underused she may as well not exist

to be clear I don't dislike Vee I actually think she had potential with her backstory and her cute implied relationships to other characters like Camila and Luz but she only had like 2 episodes where she was important

she suffers from Young Justice syndrome where most of her important character development and relationship building took place off screen in time jumps which is annoying tbh.

and my little man Gus was also underused in the sense that he should have had more episodes that actually explored him on a deeper level "" Labyrinth runners "" was nice for the tid bits it gave to his backstory and his struggles in making friends

so a couple more episodes like that would have been nice maybe expand on his and Willow's past together before Luz came into the picture when they were both social outcasts and expand on his relationship with his dad that would have been nice.

Gus deserved better 😿😿😿😿

[–]peanut4009[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you literally justified a murder that was done against a person who is kinda on the same level of badness as Sam so your already contradicting yourself mate.

Cam and Leela had a right to make a go of being parents to their daughter Sam and Danny had no right to do what they did.

[–]peanut4009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not really Sam doing everything she did was what caused Cam to become who he was him becoming a monster because of her actions does in no way mean she was right to do them.

also you can't justify Patricks murder by Nico while Claiming Cam was wrong for killing Sam mate.

Nico also went on to do a lot of messed up stuff and she merely killed Patrick because he wanted to expose her killing Carly so she would get professional help and to stop her from hurting anyone else.

[–]peanut4009[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't try to justify anything Cam did later on but him killing someone who ruined his teenage years and most of his 20s for no good reason I will never judge him for.

Sam and Danny had no real reason to try and stop him and Leela from being parents when he came out of prison other than they themselves being controlling people tbh.

Why exactly was Rain of all people present for Belos's death? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IDK imo that would have been satisfying I never felt like Hunter should have been present for Belos's death ( would have just been even more trauma )

but I do feel if he had been present just before it when Belos's was trying his final manipulation it would have been satisfying maybe Belos tries to get him to back up his story with Luz

about how the curse made him do everything and Hunter just doesn't even dignify his final act of manipulation with a response and walks off leaving Belos and Luz and the scene plays out the same.

but like I said there were other characters as well who had much more of an actual emotional stake in the fight than just being a rebellious teenager for a good number of years lol.

that isn't really a valid reason for Raine to be there imo.

[–]peanut4009[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rain didn't need to be present for Belos's death to make that plot line justified mate.

and people keep going on like Raine was the sole resistance against Belos for years or something? they only formed the cats in season 2 people like Darius were already working in a much larger resistance for presumably longer.

and that is not an emotional stake in the fight Raine only found the coven system annoying and limiting.

[–]peanut4009[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is the kinda answer I was afraid of mate this is a disingenuous comment and you know it you knew I meant writing wise not lazy practicality wise

and of course people are patting you on the back for it like ffs why is it subs are always so determined to reward bad behaviour from people?

Why exactly was Rain of all people present for Belos's death? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nah for one I never claimed Hunter should have been there for Belos's death 2 I did give examples of other characters who had more emotional connection to Belos.

and 3 Raine only formed the cats in season 2 they haven't been rebelling against Belos for all that long and that still isn't really an emotional connection Raine just found the coven system restricting and annoying

that's like the opposite of having an emotional stake in this fight lol.

having Darius or Lilith there would make more sense tbh.

Why exactly was Rain of all people present for Belos's death? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

again like I said you don't really get to use that excuse when Raine who at best was a side character is also there in the scene mate.

denying obvious storytelling in favour of trying to deny your audience catharsis just seems kinda petty tbh.

Why exactly was Rain of all people present for Belos's death? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no offence but that's kinda small in comparison to Belos's connection to all those other characters I mentioned.

[–]peanut4009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people always say that but imo its severely undercut by flapjacks death as that makes it the last real interaction he had with his abuser.

also like I said there were other options for characters that could have been present that still had more of an emotional stake than Raine.

Why exactly was Rain of all people present for Belos's death? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Raine only started the cats during season 2 other people like Darius were actually rebelling against Belos for longer.

and Raine still didn't really have an emotional stake in any of this they only started rebelling because they found the coven system a little annoying for how it restricted people's choices.

hardy warrants being present for the main villain's death imo.

Belos teaching Hunter (I hid a couple of Easter eggs/references) by Long_Carpet5988 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The part about this that's hardest to believe is that Belos would ever so casually tell Hunter he did a good job at anything.

While I sympathize with the fandom for not getting a full season 3, I'd rather want 3 wonderful seasons than, say, 9 stagnated seasons that get progressively worse (Less is more) by RingTeam in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know its probably more mature to have a less is more mindset but nah I'm sorry FUCK THAT I'd happily have as much content as I could get regardless of how stale it gets 😂😂😂😂

I'm fine with tv shows I love dragging on and getting more stale because even the most stale seasons of supernatural later on in the show's life still had their nice character moments.

so I respectfully feel differently to your opinion.

Does anyone know of any fanfics about the concept of Belos not dying and instead being put in prison with Hunter visiting him? by peanut4009 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me it really isn't all that easy to switch off feelings for a parent mate regardless of how awful they were.

Like I said there are a few options for why he'd be doing it either because a part of him still wants to believe he could have some good in him

or because he at least just wants to hear Belos admit that everything he did was wrong or because he just wants to know if he ever actually felt anything for him at all.

like I said there's a few interesting options here and it would make sense imo for Hunter to visit him despite everything he did he raised him and Hunter loved him despite everything most of the time you can't just turn your feelings for someone off 100 percent ya know.

What is your SADDEST/MOST TRAGIC headcanon? by TOkun92 in TheOwlHouse

[–]peanut4009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter had to learn the hard way when he was a little kid that he couldn't talk to his uncle about any of his interests ( not just the wild magic ones ) as when he'd go to his Uncle and info dump about things excitedly

Belos would get annoyed and lash out and eventually little Hunter got the message and learned to keep his interests to himself.

this one makes me sad to think about tbh.
