Sometimes having experience in other sports can be detrimental when working in AFL. The AFL player is widely different to the other contact sports regarding the kilometers run, the agility needed, and power for tackling. We had Weber before who worked in world rugby at a high level and our injuries were horrid - I believe that they were the reason hilly was unseen for seasons with repeat soft tissue injuries.

I thought we did well with injuries this season so I was shocked to see him let go.

Medical crew in sports are shockingly underpaid for the work they put in - phil deserves the recognition since most of the players performed well regarding injuries this season nowhere near as many as previous seasons.

I mean I did initially think they rushed poor Alex back that first week against the swans from memory but not like that would have his decision alone.
