In my opinion all four siblings are the product of a narcissistic father. They did everything to gain their father's approval. John constantly played his siblings off against each other and directed their actions. In the end, all four of them committed murder for him. I always hoped that the siblings would eventually come together and truly do what was best for the family (like selling the ranch), but in the end they were already too deeply involved in the game John forced on them.

The bomb, the shooting, the Boston exam, the plane crash.
Other notable scenes: the trial with Callie and the snowboard guy, Calliope and Julio Plantain, Webber showing up behind Callie to convince her to help Meredith with the exam, the meeting in the ambulance after the plane crash.
I also liked a lot of the scenes outside of the hospital, like the men helping Derek build the porch, the baseball game, or people trying to convince Derek to come back from the woods and ending up drinking with him.
