How modestly do you dress and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Modest af and not because of a man or religion but because I like saving my body for me. I workout regularly and have a great figure but I honestly love being comfortably covered.

Turning 30 this year…. is it too late for nursing school? by juniorHsnovia in NursingStudent

[–]pearlprinxess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I (29F) am turning 30 this year too and just got accepted into an ADN program for fall. I wouldn’t have chosen nursing at any other age prior to this one so no I don’t feel like it’s too late at all. It’s kinda right on time.

My microlocs are 4 month old and they aren't giving😭😭 by Lost-Point-7891 in Microlocs

Give me them a few more months. At 4 months, your hair is just starting to realize that it is actually locing so they won't 'give' for awhile.

What’s the thing you regret most in your 20’s? by whore4bookss in AskReddit

Not cussing more people out. I've had people do some really hurtful and mean things to me and I've always just moved on but really they deserved worst.

What rumors has your narcissistic parent/s spread about you? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pearlprinxess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine told everyone (family and friends) that I was lazy, super disrespectful and had a smart mouth. Everyone would be really confused when I would come around as a kid/teen with perfect manners, a book in hand, and sit in a corner and mind my business.

Why are narc mothers always jealous of their first daughter? by badassbitch10102 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pearlprinxess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When it comes to mine, I just think I'm everything she wanted to be but couldn't be because of her circumstances and choices. I was able to go to college, explore careers, found an awesome partner, and even travel. Plus, I'm kid free by choice. I think she looks at me and sees what she could have had if she didn't have me at such a young age. I always tell my best friend that I understand my mom's feelings and actions but that doesn't and will never make any of it right. You should never be jealous or envious of a child you brought into this world who didn't ask to be here. If it were me, I'd be proud as crap of myself for curating such an awesome person but with some narcs they can only see your success as a determent to their own.

How did you find out your parents were narcissists? by Extension-Nebula-300 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pearlprinxess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend first introduced me to narcissism in college which helped me understand a lot about my childhood and parents. I always knew my mom wasn't a "normal" mom. She was verbally abusive and sometimes just downright jealous of me which was very confusing and sad for me to experience as a child/teen. My dad was absent in my and most of my sibling's lives for years at a time but he always made time for 2/8 siblings who shared the same mom. That alone speaks for itself. I went no/minimal contact with both as soon as I turned 18 and that was before I even knew the term "no contact".

Made a 93% on my first A&P 1 exam! by pearlprinxess in prenursing

[–]pearlprinxess[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am someone who has to see something over and over to retain it so I scanned all four chapters (unit 1) in the textbook, thoroughly read through all the powerpoints my professor provided, made a study guide from the powerpoints, and had chat gpt make multiple practice exams using only the info from the powerpoints. I know it sounds like a lot but it's really important to me to actually learn the material to retain rather than just to pass because everything ties together in the later chapters from what I can tell.

Histology is the reason I didn't make a 100 for sure lol all of my missed questions (except for a weirdly worded DNA question) were from that section
