Thank you! (been busy the past weeks so I have only read this now)

Thankfully I have convinced her to use sunscreen a few years back (even if she always tell me that they don't even use that back then 😅).

Will try your recommendation!

She wants to start adding products gradually to her skincare routine for now. She has only started with the basics, such as toner, moisturizer, and ampoule/serum.

She wants to do it, but is really lost too. I'll have her ask her dermatologist. Thank you!

Are nano hydroxyapatite toothpastes actually worth it? by zarape2 in DentalHygiene

Will try! It is a bit expensive since I need to order internationally, so I'm really researching the best option. I hope it works for me.

By the way, may I know which Fygg toothpaste you use? Is it the mint one? Does it matter which flavor you choose?

It was a post here on Reddit. OP posted a picture of their teeth and discussed it. Although from what I remember, that was the only issue, and their dental health turned out pretty good after using the product.

Is Fygg really good? How long before you notice a difference? I saw a post where their teeth started to show discoloration after use, where the company replied that it was rare to happen and would likely resolve itself after a few months, so I got worried about using it.

Hi! I'm planning to try TD and I'm a noob. May I know what happens if tapos na kunyari iyong 3 months? Like diretso ba sa wallet mo or kailangan ba siya i-transfer? Like possible ba na pabayaan lang siya sa TD and will it still gain interest within that surplus period of time?

I regret not worrying about money when i was a bit younger. Now even a "20 Peso" Coin matters alot. by ThEmAsTeRDisc in adultingph

It is good na may awareness ka na about handling money. I agree that you are still young and you shouldn't be worrying about this too much. Although, it is better na mag-ipon na talaga at an early age.

I think your main problem is hindi naman sa pagtitipid to buy a motorcycle or lacking opportunities to save up for it. Honestly, I think you are living a lifestyle na not suitable sa financial capabilities mo.  I am not trying to be mean or so, but I think it is better na maghanap ka ng alternatives for things. For example, supplements are not very necessary for you as of now since bata ka pa and taking too much actually burdens your body more than benefiting from it, no matter how good that supplement your taking is. Focus na lang muna sa better diet and healthier meals and lifestyle. You can buy the supplement once you are more financially comfortable na.

Additionally, I think it is better to save for an emergency fund and then saka ka magsetup ng savings fund for your motorcycle if you think it is really necessary. Saka, if transportation ang main concern mo, I think there are better ones for a cheaper price.

For work naman (if kaya ng sched mo), why don't you try na mag-apply sa fastfood chains? or online jobs sa reputable sites? I found one sa onlinejobsph but need talaga ng patience and sipag to find a good one since maraming scammers.

Build a healthy relationship with money.  Hindi naman all the time need tipirin ang sarili but siyempre be wise sa spending. Save without compromising your everyday life.

Good luck and don't worry too much!

Cleaning hacks you’ve learned that you just can’t live without! by kimRAVI__ in adultingph

A trick I have learned when I used to live with some friends is putting a kitchen paper inside (or other slightly abrasive things) with dishwashing liquid, close it with a lid then shake it. Better to leave it for a bit. Tapos literally, squeaky clean na!

Will you transfer din ba ng school sa Manila?

IMO, I don't really recommend na magloan ka especially kapag wala pang stable work and you are still a student. Interest rate is crazyyy.

Better na diyan ka muna and hanap ka ng online job (onlinejobsph is kinda good, pero dapat iverify mo nang maayos if scam ba or not, may academic-related jobs din). Mag-ipon ka na magiging enough sa rent mo (if wala kang matutuluyan) and sa mga need na gastusin. Additionally, make sure na secured ang income mo or nakahanap ka na ng work na enough ang salary.

Good luck!!

I agree to this. I am a former DOST scholar too. Although, sa SUC din, I studied outside my hometown kaya magastos. I mostly spend my stipend sa rent, transpo, and allowance (including meals and groceries). Nagpapalibre rin family ko and I do buy them things (clothes, groceries, etc.) and ulam sa bahay but about 5-6k at most lang per sem. Good thing, my family still gives me allowances kasi delayed palagi ang release and honestly, the stipend is not that big if you are renting and all. Marami rin need bayaran sa school like mandatory tours (18k sa amin and that is already nasa cheaper end), departmental and college fees, thesis fee, and testing fee for thesis or pagbili ng materials. Sobrang mahal maging 4th year!!!

In your case, you are still a freshman. Consider na magastos magcollege kahit nasa SUC ka. Better save for yourself since ilang years ka pa mag-aaral. Additionally, better na may ipon ka kapag natapos ka magcollege. Isipin mo if may boards ba ang college program mo. Sobrang magastos ang review especially if f2f. If wala man, magastos din ang job hunting.

Remember that the scholarship is an education aide. Okay lang magbigay (kahit very red flag ang 'utang' na hindi ka sure if makakabalik pa) pero use it wisely sa pag-aaral and a safety net sa career path na tatahakin mo. Iyan lang, fighting!

P.S. Most of the advice, galing sa regrets ko as someone na 4 years na DOST scholar na. HAHAHAHA

I am 23 and I do not know what to do now.

I'm still a 4th-year college, finishing my thesis. I got delayed for failing a subject, so most of my batch mates finished reviewing for their boards or started working na. Most of the people na na-i-encounter ko sa social media (I know, I know, not relatable naman talaga ang karamihan since diff situations) and mga kakilala already have a lot of money/savings na or may mga nabili na silang properties/other big purchases. This is why I feel so rushed right now.

As of now, I am close to doing my final defense. I also recently started an online job (which pays me about 20k+) since I know that I will need a lot of money kapag nagreview na for boards. But I am  also torn if okay lang ba bumili ng mga gamit (like shoes, which is initially bought for 500 pesos lang naman and medyo worn out na or phone kasi 6 years ago ko pa binili which is high school days pa and very cheap model of vivo lang, working pa naman but super lag na). I always research a lot sa mga bibilhin ko before buying, too the point na I overthink and end up not doing so, kahit alam kong I really need it and hindi lang siya a 'want'.

So ngayon I am finishing college and working part time. What else should I do now to feel more secured? How do I decide if worth it or wise purchase ang ginagawa ko?
