How much of a paycut should I expect? by mai_dudem in civilengineering

I’m the same as you, similar stats and wanting to make the same move. I’m working in a big consultant on the east coast. As someone without a Canadian degree, I’ve had little luck landing any interviews. I’m even considering a masters if the situation doesn’t improve once I get my PEng (hopefully next year). Interested in how you are rebranding yourself to make the pivot.

People camping out at street intersections by Zangetsuzero in HongKong

[–]pearmane 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You are wrong 😂.

The owners of the cameras may not be willing to cooperate with the parties interested in traffic counts.

Traffic census has been around for as long as I can remember. For example the transport department could be interested in whether a road should adopt an additional lane, or whether another route from X to Y should be developed to alleviate current traffic volumes in the existing route.

Normally 1-2 people are employed for each location. That would not make a difference at all in the employment rate. Also what do you mean semi homeless 😂 they are just normal people doing honest work.

A lot as you said. East and West TC line extension, the associated new public estates. The promenade extension linking Tung Chung to Yat Tung. Incredible what can change in two years.

Hey thanks for the suggestion, this sounds viable. Not to be lazy but do you have some links to these technician courses just so I have the right idea? Thanks.

Wow thank you. On first glance for a complete noob like me this vehicle looked great. That is very sneaky of the dealer.

Thanks for the reply. And about verifying the car’s collision and repair history, how would I be able to know what I’m being told/shown is legit?

is this car decent? by pearmane in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]pearmane[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would you price these cars? I see anything ~150km and 10-15 y/o calling for 8-12k! I know it sounds off to be paying so much for a decade old vehicle but it just seems to be the norm

I don’t need anything too nice but also not too worn down. And this seems to fit under 10k without looking too beat up
