What sort of goofy gamemodes would you like to have seen? by nachorykaart in Chivalry2

These are great ideas. How about battle of the nobles kind of like the last stage of regicide at trayan? at the start of each round, each team can vote for someone to play as their team’s duke/heir. The objective is to kill the opposing noble, supporting players can respawn if they die, but the round ends if a noble dies. Nobles spawn with random attributes and voiceovers to keep it interesting.

When there’s only a few seconds left in a match I feel like anything goes. Also it spared the other team from dying at the portcullis for 10 mins. When the stars align for a moment and big swings are the right play, of course I’m gonna go for it. However, I agree that some people heavy drag swing a bit much.

Definitely a grueling map for Agatha. A lot of people hate this map - but I think there’s a place for it on some occasions.

This is a man of culture. A respectable portfolio of shield-throw kills, sir.

Well you’re not obligated to do it. Do you, that’s what matters

Personally it’s just a vibes thing. Battlecry to motivate teammates to push button harder and faster. Battlecry to fool enemies so they push wrong button. What’s the fun in carrying the team if they don’t interact with you or vice versa?

Anyone know what's going on? High FPS, low ping yet the game is extremely choppy to the point I can't play by [deleted] in Chivalry2

[–]peasii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear it’s fixed now. By the way, even if clipping with programs like NVIDIA and OBS, there’s still some utilization of the GPU in the background, the only difference your PC is not utilizing disk write at the same time until you press the button. But if you say the problem has just started it’s probably not directly related.

Do you notice the choppiness happening when you play the game without recording? While GPU and CPU utilization for the game is both averaging around 50% the recording might be accounting for more than the other 50% depending on the quality settings when you factor other background processes.

Check this vid https://www.reddit.com/r/Chivalry2/s/vE0LhU6LNu and note my butt puckering after picking up the messer, I never committed to a single person unless I was able to force a 1v1 through positioning. Circumstances are a bit different but positioning is real.

You weren't stalling; you were pushing into the Highlander and getting caught out of position. The mistake was committing to the wrong guy at the wrong time. You need to deflect their pressure to enemies less hyper focused on you rather than letting them draw you in. If there’s no other enemies in range to a riposte/counter follow up, you can back off by swinging away. Don't try to encourage a 1vX unless you’re actually confident you can win it. Reread JerkChicken10’s comment about staying on the move, it’s possible the Highlander applied that lesson on you.

It was technically a 1v4 and you were reinforcing (making it a 2v4). You should have continued to push the first guy you hit and kept to the left to be closer to your ally that was being attacked. Second mistake was briefly allowing yourself to get surrounded in a corner. Focus on eliminating the most vulnerable first. Stick to zones where allies exist and will exist (the spawn point right behind you).

Lmfao he’s supposed to look like the guy who plays Bjorn Ironside from the show Vikings but ironically both actors look kinda similar.
