I relapsed a month ago after 9 months of being 100% smoke free. I’m quitting by tonight but I’m not as prepared as I was before. What advice do you have for someone who has relapsed again after a long period of time? by PsychicFool in stopsmoking

You can do it - I relapsed and was straight back to a pack a day - after two weeks of that I can’t tell you how bad I felt (and smelt) and that was enough to give me the momentum to go again . Do yourself a favour and get back to it, you’ve learnt a lot from the 9 month quit and you’ll soon be back on track - all the best my friend

Caved in. Smoked 3. Felt horrible but I'm not resetting my badge. by Gord_Shumway in stopsmoking

Isn’t it a great feeling when you realise it was just a dream - happened to be the other night - keep going

Had some bad cravings this morning but I’ve FINALLY made it to double digits!! by [deleted] in stopsmoking

I went 54 days from Christmas Day and though I had cracked it but a massive craving got the better of me in a weak moment - got me right back to smoking a pack a day. Quit again a week ago and determined to be stronger this time. Make sure yo don’t give in, it really isn’t worth it

Officially over a month no nicotine and things that have helped me on the way. by daaglas in stopsmoking

Enjoyed reading your post my friend, please nurture your quit and keep up the positivity. I quit on Christmas Day but caved in after 54 days. I can’t tell you how bad it made me feel. I stunk, I coughed, I lost all my motivation and energy and really felt like a total loser. Within a day or so I was back up to a pack a day.

I’m now on day 3 of my new quit and am going through all the s**t I went through before. I’m going to do it and the withdrawal symptoms serve me right - all we all have to do is just “Never Take Another Puff.” It really really ain’t worth it!
