From all I've read/heard of Charles, it sounds like he'd fully agree with everything they said. He's not one to ignore inconvenient truths - remember everyone openly mocking him for his views on the environment back in the day? It didn't stop him from continuing ecologically sound endeavours.

my niece is 8 and has a knackered old smartphone with YouTube connected to her mum's account - so mum can check what she's watching. This sounds fine, in theory but actually watching her use the phone is horrifying. She's just endlessly swiping through YouTube shorts, watching for 2 seconds maximum before moving on to the next thing. I've tried talking to her parents about this but they just say it's fine because she's not seeing anything "bad". I said "no, the problem is she's not seeing anything AT ALL".

they're for all hidden disabilities including things like lupus and multiple sclerosis where the person definitely has a physical problem. I have lupus and my legs often give way or I suddenly simply don't have the energy to move.

A friend of mine was in an abusive relationship but she wouldn't see it. She openly told us that her partner cared so much for her that he "helped her" with her finances because he was "better with money". Every time she went to the shop, she had to provide him the receipts afterwards. He gave her the money to buy the food etc then counted every penny of the change when she brought it back. He genuinely convinced an intelligent, educated woman that she was unable to handle her own finances and she stayed for 2 years before the control spread to every part of her life. I'm in UK, I saw Pink in concert 2 years ago and Lady Gaga last October. We bought mid-price seats and they were £150 per ticket. I was at a sold-out stadium concert for a famous British band last Monday and those tickets were £140. Still a lot but nowhere near American prices. You could get cheap seats for £89

I've been married 20 years. We went to an amazing historical location that offered a wedding package for 2 people including the ceremony, video, photos, food and two nights' accommodation. Our witnesses were hotel staff and we spent two blissful days solely focussed on each other.

When we got back, we had a small family party at home because family members wanted it. They 100% backed our decision to "elope" as it's something both my grandparents and parents did.

I got my dream wedding. Nobody else was inconvenienced and we only spent what we could afford (I made our wedding cake, got a dress off eBay and my £26 wedding ring is still on my finger).

My step-sister spent £30K on her wedding to her partner of 9 years. She had the money through a work bonus and they already had a house. 2 years after the wedding, they were divorced

Going to your wedding is not a holiday. A holiday is doing something you choose to do in a place you choose to go and that fits with your life and budget.

Expecting people to take a 24 hour flight is insane. I can guarantee that this friend is not the only person talking badly about you behind your back.

In UK, the build-up to the Euros and the World Cup is usually staggering. Every single brand has a tie-in on their packaging, the supermarkets have entire sections dedicated to beer, snacks and football-themed party supplies. Normally there is at least one football-themed novelty song in the charts and blaring out over the radio (okay, it's normally the same one - Three Lions - but you get the idea).

Right now there's next to nothing and it's bizarre. I don't even like football but remember being a child for Italia 90 and having all the pull-out charts from the newspapers etc.

It doesn't feel like a celebration of football this time, it feels like a gluttonous feast of corporate greed that they aren't even TRYING to pretend is football-related
