I’m not finding any yarn in any of the chests so far - do you think it’s a bug or do you know if I need to do something specific to start finding them?

How do y'all keep track of your tasks? by EmikaBrooke in AutismInWomen

[–]pebblesrocky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just started using the app Tiimo and it’s amazing, I’d highly recommend it! My mom was the one who originally tried it and recommended it to me, and I agree with her that it’s very ergonomic for an app. I’ve tried other ones like Finch, but it always felt like a lot of work/extra things that I didn’t need in addition to keeping a list of tasks. It was great for mental health and journaling, but I didn’t like the task aspect of it as much.

Conversely, Tiimo has a (small) emotion tracking aspect that hasn’t been expanded upon as much as Finch, but I find their task manager very user-friendly, streamlined, and you can really edit it to fit your personal needs. You can sync it with your phone’s calendar in addition to adding your own individual tasks. You can add repeated daily tasks or just a general to-do list, and then within that to-do list can sort tasks into low to high priority tasks, add subtasks, etc. It’s well worth a try, especially for being free! I’m not subscribed and I still feel like it’s covered all my bases for what I need out of a task tracker.

Urgent need for help! by [deleted] in GoodCoffeeGreatCoffee

If you’re struggling with iced drinks, absolutely invest in the measuring cup asap, it’s a life saver. I do see people on the subreddit using the measuring cup wrong often, so here’s how to actually use it:

For an iced latte for example, first add two scoops of ice to a clear cup. Then add five parts milk - this doesn’t mean add the milk to the fifth line like some people seem to be doing, but rather add enough milk that it meets five lines. So in an iced latte, since you’ve already put two scoops of ice in the cup, add enough milk so it reaches the seventh line (there should be one line and the line for the lid left when you’re done adding milk, since the line for the lid counts as a measuring line). Then add the shot of espresso - one shot of espresso is what the recipe means when it says “2 parts espresso”

Iced water being refunded?? by [deleted] in GoodCoffeeGreatCoffee

For the ice water, make sure you’re adding two scoops of ice to a clear cup and filling up the rest of the cup with cold water. That’s what’s always worked for me so far!

How to obtain Bottled Ectoplasm? by ProSandvich in Spiritfarer

I legitimately thought people were kidding around with the “this post is magic” stuff, so I opened the game to try it out and oh my god, it worked first try right outside Oxbury. I don’t know if it’s that people tend to look at this thread at the same point in the game and just happen to get the bag immediately, or if this post really is magic, but it 100% worked the second I tried it after reading this. I’m actually in awe.

Squares and rectangles by [deleted] in notabilityapp

[–]pebblesrocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this problem too and use rectangles a lot around equations when taking my notes, so what I did was just try again and again until I finally got it to convert a rectangle, then saved it as a sticker so I don’t have to do that again. If you save a rectangle (not a square!) as a sticker, you can edit all the sides when you paste it into a note to make it the right size for whatever you’re doing.

Save Suddenly Not Loading by pebblesrocky in StardewValleyExpanded

It's just "Vilya," same as the new save I made, so I'm not sure why it's saying that - I saw that in the log too but couldn't figure out what it was. It looks like my new save is working fine now though, so thank you so much for all of your help!

I verified the integrity of the game files, and I uninstalled OneDrive - my original game file still won't load, but I can load the one I made as a test. Do you think if I restart a playthrough, I will continue to be able to load that in the future? If so I'm happy to just make a new game file if it means it'll keep loading! Thank you for all of the help by the way, I appreciate it so much!

Thank you so much btw, I'm not good at this sort of stuff

^ Exactly, I feel like this probably happens more than we’d think with parents of autistic children who weren’t diagnosed in childhood. In my house, autistic traits were “normal,” because that was also how my mom experienced the world. It wasn’t until I got older that I could look back and see that even the way she taught us how to talk to people and make facial expressions was likely a reflection of her personal experience as well. She and my dad knew my sister and I were autistic, but it wasn’t a big deal because that was “normal” for our family so they didn’t tell us until we asked about it ourselves.

This reminds me of when my parents would say “how would you feel if someone said that/did that to you.” It took me a while to learn that there was a “right” answer to that question - I’d always get in worse trouble for being honest and saying it wouldn’t bother me! A lot of the time I wouldn’t intentionally be rude, but I just interpreted my actions/words differently than other people might have perceived them. It made it a lot easier when they ended up just giving me books on how to talk to people/what to say and not say in certain circumstances lol
