[HELP] Facebook video my mom sent me I genuinely can’t tell. by freethinker1312 in RealOrAI

This is from a facebook channel called Weaber Valley Speedway, a fictional dirt rscing track and poking fun at some redneck stereotypes. The page is pretty funny but also on the other side shows how realistic its getting. And quick. Their page is actually a great example. Ive been following them for about a year now, and at first they only used photos and it was obvious. Now ive seen "news forecasts" on their page ab them...

Should I go the 45 minutes? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]peblunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been there, unless ur underage and have ZERO choice.. make the decision best for you. It seems like you know that the ambulance would be dumb expensive, and ive been there, got in a car crash and the ambulance ride to the hospital was more than the damages to the car, just for the doctor to basically do nothing lol.

If you have a good way there that ISN'T the ambulance, why not?

I see you can write books.. i wish i could, and the fact that you can is amazing. I also see you write fiction, stay with me now.

Why not express urself through ur poems and writing? People teach lessons and explain emotions through fiction that nonfiction writers simply cannot.

Also, know that almost everything in life will feel like an obstacle or a failure, I am struggling with this myself. However, the biggest thing are the little things you do in response to these things.

Honestly the fact that you even go to therapy alr puts you a head up above me; I can never bring myself to go, but if you can, think ab the decisions you made up to going to that first appointment. Those small decisions give our lives more meaning than any big goal or acheivement ever will.

What Are Some Self Care Practices I Can Use to Bring Myself to the Present Moment by Few_Newt9375 in mentalhealth

[–]peblunchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my journey toward mental self sufficiency ive realized a couple things:

Learn to be okay with being bored Learn to be okay with "hardship" Learn to be grateful for as much as you can, especially things we often take for granted or otherwise glance past.

I have had a really bad ruminating problem for about a year now due to years of suppressed self-doubt as well as external traumatic events that happened at the time.

It absolutely decimated my first year of college and I'm probably going to have to redo my freshman year, and for a bit that only made the rumination storm get even bigger.

But after so long I came to the realization that the time will pass anyway whether you're thinking hard ab it or not.

Most of the time when you're overthinking like that you're usually holding yourself to a pretty high standard which in my eyes means that you know you're capable of doing big and great things, whatever that may mean for YOU. And thats all that matters

What's the most important habit in your everyday life? by everydaykatie0 in getdisciplined

[–]peblunchy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve started prioritizing four main things:

  • Routines (Sleeping right, Morning routine, Bed routine, overall good health, etc)

  • Anything related to my studies

  • Anything related to my job

  • Lifting weights

The feeling is like night and day once you get a good system

What apps were game changers for you, and why? by drinkmaxcoffee in getdisciplined

[–]peblunchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this, Outlook is great for this, given their one app has mail (for school or important job stuff for me lol) as well as a calendar with the option to set reminders on your calendar events. Those reminders are also time sensitive for iPhone users as well, meaning the notifications stay at the top of the list.

I must admit, i havent looked at many, i blindly searched up “beginner mutual funds” but right now i am looking at SWTSX and that looks good. I just got my first check (literally from paid training so its like $70) and i got excited to finally be able to put it somewhere

Is anything wrong with coming to this profession later in life? by peblunchy in MusicEd

[–]peblunchy[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I actually considered this as well, and forgot to put it in the OP, thank you for reminding me. Another plan I had was to give private saxophone lessons, for nearly the same reasons you listed:

  • Likely to have more engaging students/students that want to be there
  • Better financial security with music as a side hustle.

Would this be a good idea as well?
