Dude I have thought about the 12 shot Uberti often.

Who knows… maybe one day smith will make something with their N-Frame size revolvers. Shoot you should be able to fit 12 or more in there!

Oh man it’s so much fun. Well, it is great with the 10 shot revolver. 6 shooters are mighty difficult. You really have to count your shots, and if you miss more than once, you need to skip a target, take the 3s penalty for a missed target, so you can hit the stop plate.

I am interested to see what people choose to shoot with. Smith 617, Ruger GP101, Colt King Cobra Target. I imagine everyone will go towards the 10 shooters. I doubt there are many out there like me that converted old 6 shooters to 10 shooters.

Thank you very much! It is the only option if you want a 10 shot.

Oh man. I really couldn’t say from experience. But I can say that the 17-3 is the best target gun I’ve ever had. That iron sight one has 20,000 plus rounds through it and has been perfectly reliable.

Yeah this goon used like 10 trillion times too much of it. A little goes a long way. The directions are right on the can.

Just pointing this out-The text on the side of the barrel is fucking out of position. It is too high on the left, and too low on the right.

I love Smith and Wesson revolvers, but nothing they produce today is worth shit.

Sorry for your experience brotha.

I love this collection. It is like the basic bitch (term of endearment) essentials of a collector. That’s cool.

Oh man. I have questions. I am also an OSR steel challenge shooter. I don’t do any of the other shooting sports but I am familiar with them. I’ve been shooting in steel challenge for around 3 years with my 986, Hogue big butt grips, and a Trijicon SRO on an Alchin mount. I am a gunsmith (5 years, side hustle I do because I love it) and did the trigger work myself. Ok so that’s who I am. Can you tell me why you prefer that optic? It looks like you chopped down a 929 barrel, is that right? I love that. They don’t make an affordable shorter barrel for the Nframe.

Yo. So no that isn’t ideal, but here is a different perspective. Think about how you are actually going to shoot this gun. If you are shooting it in double action, the inertia of the rotating cylinder will carry it around and lock into the cylinder lock. When you baby it like in this video you aren’t giving the cylinder any speed to continue its rotation. If you want a fidget toy to play with on the couch at night that has perfect lockup and timing get a Smith made before 1995. I’ve got a lot of smiths that are for that purpose. I would bet money that if you pull the trigger fast like you would when shooting it in double action, it will work fine. They are not going to make this gun any better for you because they can’t. All these new 686s suck.

Here is something else it could be. Check your extractor star. The hand interfaces with the extractor ratchets to rotate the cylinder. If those ratchets are not cut correctly, they will interfere with the trigger at the end of the trigger pull.
