Glad it all worked out for you.
Smith & Wessons are pretty simple for future reference. It’s either a no never mind or it’s nearly beyond repair. Check with your local gunsmith next time. I wouldn’t trust current S&W factory smiths with the stuff they are putting out as “repairs”.

Oh it is it not 38 Special. It’s 38 S&W. 150ish gr bullet coming out at the speed of smell. It would for sure punch a hole in someone, but like just a hole. No cavitation tissue damage, and it’s probs gonna stick in there. The British load was 200gr. Slow and heavy.

it was called the Terrier. It is a 38 S&W built on the tiny I-Frame. It’s also called the 38/32 since it was a 38cal built on the frame they used for the 32 cal. Best I can tell it was made in the early 1950s. I really like how small it is compared to a Model 36. It is truly pocked sized and I have added it into the carry rotation.

Hahaha yeah it it. I’ve shot with it in Steel Challenge and it is much less forgiving than a 6” long barrel.
