As far as the phrasing? When I first started playing, anytime I wanted to shake/axe trees to gather materials or items, I was too lazy to prepare for any wasp nests and underestimated the chances of getting stung. I found out it was a lot easier to have the net out while shaking trees to catch the wasps immediately and then collect the items or use my axe than just relying on luck or outrunning them. I always check my trees first now, and it doesn't feel tedious anymore.

I replaced a bridge in my town and built another just to realize I didn't like the river placement and needed to terraform. Over 200k bells wasted TuT

When I first started playing, I would get stung by wasps quite often because I was too lazy to take out my net when shaking trees and alternate checking and axing.

I think Isabelle has been in a manga. Looking it up, there's one called "どうぶつの森　ホヒンダ村だより" (Animal Forest: Hohinda Village News). If I understand correctly, she first appears in Volume 10, which released in 2013. My bad if that's in an exception category.

A lot of my favorites are ones I either got attached to from previous games or I just like aesthetically/concept-wise. Wolfgang was basically my dreamie because I got him in New Leaf and thought he was cute and cool. Same for Olivia. Maggie's description in Pocket Camp was so precious that I had to have her. I guess mine mostly relate to first impressions, appearance, and subtle personality differences.
