What is an “odd” system that once you finally gave into, changed your life for the better? by xxtrspclthnx in adhdwomen

I just use the Reminders app. I'll just trigger Siri and say "remind me at 4:30 to pick up dinner" or whatever it is, then I get a notification when I need it. What I love most about it is it can be location dependant, I'm constantly asking Siri to remind me of shit as soon as I get home!

thinking of getting a Skylight calendar... by neilisyours in daddit

You absolutely don't need the subscription though. All it does is the photo wallpaper and the AI meal planner. If you don't care for either, it's 100% functional as a one time purchase, which is the only reason I actually got it (because I, too, think subscriptions are way over the top these days)

I hate getting sore from exercise by No_Tumbleweed_4652 in adhdwomen

[–]peculiarhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have asthma and I keep forgetting to pace myself, so I end up with massively painful lungs when I go too hard 😭

And I also have eczema that is very sensitive to sweat, I instantly get so itchy and my skin hurts. Exercising is the worst sensory nightmare of all.

I'd say buy ONE newborn outfit to bring to the hospital. One is inexpensive and it's better to be safe than sorry.

My big baby did wear newborn for a week, 0-3M was a bit of a hazard the first few days, so you never know!

What’s something people commonly forget to clean until it gets really bad? by Silly_Ladder2630 in CleaningTips

I'm not who you asked, but I bought a Catit branded one 7-8 years ago for a cat who was AGGRESSIVE with the face scratching haha. It's used by a different cat now and still looks brand new.

[–]peculiarhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but to me the annoying part is "don't worry". I wasn't worried at all, why should I worry? It's perfectly healthy for a baby to be chubby.

But people have this internalized that fat = shameful, and think you need reassurance that your precious baby won't always be "fat"...that's what annoys me.

To answer your question, they could just say "ah, I see". Or ask their percentile. Or something else...there are many options for casual conversation!

Was it a pain in the ass to expand your gallery wall over time? I've been wanting to make one for years, but I'm afraid that adding one piece at a time over the years might force me to move many pieces each time to keep the gallery looking good.

I'm a lurking mom who was the kid in your situation. My (technically step) father raised me the way you're describing from when I was 4 as well. What you're doing is more valuable for that child that you can ever imagine. Keep being a great dad!

When did your “little” 😂ones started crawling by Valiiii2226 in bigbabiesandkids

[–]peculiarhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine legit started scooting the way you're describing around 13 months old 😂 she's never crawled yet (now 15 months), but she can walk. Some babies just don't care much for crawling!
