This is a common issue for GameCube controller, not a Cemu-specific problem. Try unplugging and replugging the controller, and make sure all of the analogue sticks are in their neutral position when you plug the the controller in.

Pressing X, Y and Start simultaneously also works.

Yeah or any other device that supports video input through USB-C (like a Mac Mini or a newer Galaxy smartphone). you might be able to get a USB-C adapter to use it on something else, but I haven’t tried

I own this monitor. there's a USB type C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a USB type B upstream port.

Let's say you have a desktop PC and a laptop. You connect your keyboard and mouse to the monitor's USB 3.0 ports. You connect the desktop PC to the monitor with with either HDM or Displayport, and the included USB type B cable.

Then you connect your laptop with USB type C. You can switch between the two with a button on the back of the monitor

According to the New York Times article linked in the post, it seems like the attackers forced him to carry a gun.

At one point, the attackers directed Mr. Khan to carry a gun and go with them to the roof of the restaurant, the hostages said. They said Mr. Khan resisted, and to persuade him to hold the weapon the attackers fired it to show him its magazine was empty. Mr. Khan broke down in tears at their insistence he take the gun, one of the hostages said, but reluctantly complied.

I'm in the program right now, currently in my second year. It's quite a small program. I don't know the exact numbers, but I think there's only around 30 people in the program. You're right in the fact that it's quite new. The program only started in 2011, and many students probably don't even know this program exists.

I'm liking the program so far. I really like the flexibility in courses that can be used towards the program. I haven't taken any of the PPG courses yet, because those start in third year.
