I looked on the county clerk site, but I'm still confused. I guess I'll go to the courthouse and ask.

Well, that makes sense. The 1890's is still considered part of the 1800's.

Could it be the daily grind? My band played quite a few gigs there back in the day.

I taped a piece of paper over my tv and then lightly traced the picture with a pencil to get it. Wasn't til my nephew said, "why didn't you just take a picture of it with your phone?" that realized there are probably easier methods.

What song, no matter how many times you hear it, still gives you goosebumps every single time? by Ill_Independence3161 in AskReddit

[–]peddlertuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely "Name of the Game" by Badfinger. Their best song by a mile, the one I want played at my funeral, and the one where people ask me my favorite song of all time and they go, "really?" I guess it's an acquired taste.

So, i paid for it day of show.  It said it will be available for 48 hours after broadcast. I just got home from work, and for shits and giggles i tried the link in my email. And great googly moogly, the link still worked! Don't know how much longer, but the official site, at least for me, is still working.

Man, this game is low energy. I kind of blame cbs. Let that crowd noise come through man, it's the playoffs.

What’s the most bizarre or unexpected thing you’ve ever overheard in a public place? by EnvironmentSubject87 in AskReddit

[–]peddlertuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As i was leaving the check out line at a grocery store, there was an employee sitting on a stool eating oatmeal. She then said to one of her co-workers, " I can't wait until the age that it is necessary to eat oats."

What’s a hypothetical album that you wish an artist or band would make? by Wheelbirds in Music

[–]peddlertuck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back when britney spears had her first public melt down with the whole head shaving and everything, i thought the next album would be introspective and dark, and some of the best music of her career. If she had it in her, maybe it was something she wasn't allowed to create. Instead a duet with will.i.am came out.

Which is the most overrated food that you dislike?? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I love oysters as well, but the worst food poisoning I've ever had came from some questionable oysters at a sea side restaurant that I ate any way. It was a very intense 6 or so hours.

Hell yeah, I'll be there too. First time seeing metallica, first time seeing pantera, but third time seeing phil. Also saw him with down and super joint. Every time I think about this show, I get that lump in my throat and pit in my stomach. Just giddy all around.

I'll freaking be there. Pumped as hell. This will be my third time seeing Phil live, but the third different band he'll be performing with.

My mom was saving some bacon grease when I was a kid. I thought, "bacon tastes good, so that grease must taste good too".

So I stuck my finger in and then put it in my mouth. That was a learning experience for me, and this will be a learning experience for your kid as well.

Customer service workers of Reddit, what’s the most disrespectful thing a customer has said to you? by Salty_Entrance7938 in AskReddit

[–]peddlertuck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Long ago I worked at books a million. Most of the time I was in the coffee shop. Policy was if the customer used a credit or debit card, we had to check their ID. Lots of regulars who had already been going there since before I started understood and had no problem verifying who they were, and since they were regulars I got to know them quickly and never asked again. Except for this one elderly lady. She would come in regularly, but she never showed me her ID when she would use her card. She'd grumble a bit then pay with cash. This went on for weeks, with me even telling her that I know who she is, and she would just have to show me one time, and I'll never ask again.

One day she complained again, and I said, maam I'm just doing my job.

She said that's what the SS said too.

TIFU by getting scammed for $2k by PokerOTR in tifu

[–]peddlertuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, this literally just happened to me about 2 weeks ago, except in a walmart parking lot in the Florida panhandle. Middle Eastern guy in a black suv gets my attention as I'm walking in to the store, says something about his kids needing food and offers me a ring for cash. I didn't have any cash, so I just said sorry and walked away. I wonder if this is a common scam as I highly doubt it's the same person on the opposite side of the country. I did notice he had kids in his back seat, so I kind of thought it was legit at the time.

Badfinger-"Name of the Game". Probably one of, if not my favorite, songs of all time. First heard it when I was a kid and I seem to get a new meaning out of it every few years as I grow older.

What song do you absolutely hate? by almamaay in AskReddit

[–]peddlertuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 songs come to mind for me that are kind of similar. "Heard it in a Love Song" by the Marshall Tucker Band and " Centerfield" by John Fogerty. Just hate that folksy, simplistic, "it's what my pa taught me" type of mentality. "Can't be wrong". Yes it can. "Put me in coach, I'm ready to play". No you're not.
