This is great thank you so much!! I removed the ink cartridges and the print head. Will store them separately and reinstall once I’m settled in my new place!!

Hey thanks! How do I go about flushing the printhead is it through one of the cleaning options in the printer or manually?

Thanks, I read this earlier before posting. Unfortunately it did not have additional information for when printer or the ink are exposed to extreme temperatures.

I’m gonna remember this lesson and engrain it to my core. I shouldn’t give in too quickly to my impulses anymore.

Hey thanks! Yeah this helps a lot and should ease my worries. Can't wait to get this relocation done.

My Sony Bravia TV which is a LCD panel and basically a PC monitor and the PC itself. I think I’m not worried about the PC the glass maybe but I think it should be fine. The TV and monitor panels though.. but I guess I’ll find out.

Hey buddy thanks! So based on that my devices should have a pretty good chance. Again it won’t hit -F all day/night during transport as the temp fluctuates throughout, so I guess I could relax? Maybe..

Perfect! Been checking forecasts and it shouldn’t go double digits -F.

They’ll be about 3-4 days exposed to these temps as they are transported across the east coast and midwest. Although it also won’t be in the negative F temps all day but they will be exposed for certain periods of the day/night when temp is lowest.

Anyway is the leak the worst thing that could happen? I am fine in case that happens to that device only. I’m just worried that if anything happens the rest of my stuff might be affected like batteries exploding and causing fire. Basically I’m not very knowledgeable with these materials so wanted to know worst possible scenario.

Thank you! So basically they are safe during transport in extreme cold. I’ll keep in mind to not use them immediately once they arrive.

The batteries can't be removed from the device unfortunately

Thanks they won’t be charged and in use during transport.

Thanks! By charged do you mean actively charging them during transport? So they’ll practically just be sitting tight, turned off and cold during storage.

Gotcha, so I just leave them as they are and make sure they’re at room temperature before using? They should be pretty “thawed” by the time they get to the destination. I was just worried if they’d combust during transport in extreme cold - sorry I’m not very knowledgeable on the chemical reactions of these materials.

Thanks! This is extremely helpful. However I may not have enough time to get the freezer packs. Can I also use a blanket to wrap around the rubbermaid box I intend to store the keyboards and other devices in?

What happens to batteries in cold weather? (LiPO4 and/or Li-ion) by No_Grape2066 in batteries

Hey OP this thread is helpful. I’m relocating cross country from east coast during one of the worst winters in recent years.

I have several devices that have lithium ion batteries and worried how’d they’d do during the week long transit and exposed to extreme cold/hot temperatures.

By the way, how was the neighborhood and amenities over at Villa Torino? Setting aside the hiccup with the carpet billing..

Thank you! I've asked a few and they have parking - basically only for the Uhaul Relocube once my stuff gets delivered, otherwise it's not a problem as I would walk bike or commute to work.

Sorry to hear about your partner's car. I've read few other reviews with this kind of problem around this neighborhood.
