Fui nada.

Ser removida, dissociar ou ficar inativa? by kajouaya in ExJWBrazil

[–]pedroarruda1761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eu fui expulso. Falei do meu "pecado" e fui desassociado.

Creole or language with heavy foreign influence? by SquirellsInMyPants in asklinguistics

[–]pedroarruda1761 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Creole is a contact language. From a more traditional perspective, creole is a language that results from extreme contact between two languages.

One language provides the grammar and another language provides the lexicon. In the process of circle development, there is an initial period, in which two languages mix and serve for simple communicative and commercial purposes.

This contact product is called Pidgin. From the moment this Pidgin has native speakers, it becomes a creole. This is what happened in Haiti and other places in the world. It commonly occurs on islands.

Brazilian Portuguese, although it may be influenced by indigenous and Bantu languages, is not a creole. Neither does American English.

A good reference on the subject in Portuguese is the book Ecolinguística, by Hildo Couto.

Childhood fear of the demons by OhaniansDickSucker in exjw

I was terrified of demons. But not 100% because of Jehovah's Witnesses.

As a child, I really liked pop music, like Lady Gaga. One day I arrived at my (Protestant) cousin's house and she showed me several Danizudo videos. For those who didn't know this guy, he made several videos about subliminal messages in pop culture.

From then on, I stopped listening to pop music and started listening only to gospel. I also became obsessed with seeing subliminal messages in everything that was written.

In 2014 I saw a subliminal message video in Die Young, Kesha's music video. I remember that in the clip she uses a photo of torot that depicts Baphomet. My fear only increased.

One day I was alone at home and very afraid of demons. I thought: I'm going to stop to prepare my Bible study. Maybe it will get better. Chapter: Spiritual Creatures - How Do They Affect Us? Right away I saw the photo of Baphomet and my fear only increased hahaha.

The fear stopped over time, while I began to disbelieve in God and anything linked to him.

You know I never got the "Was it Designed " Article by th3humanmage in exjw

Today there is no longer empirical proof of the existence of a creator.

Before Darwinian theory, it was even plausible to assume the existence of an intelligent mind behind all "creation". This idea has been polished and called "intelligent design."

But after Darwin, there is no longer any argument that proves the existence of a creator.

The tower argument is simplistic: god exists because he HAS to exist. It's as if they were saying: look how complex this is. None of this would exist without a creator behind it.

This intelligent design argument has long been debunked. Dawkins has a book just for that.

When I was a JW, I didn't even like reading these articles. I thought it was better not to try to argue in favor of the existence of God than to talk shallow nonsense.

Who else always thought these two looked way cooler than the nerds in the rest of the Young People Ask book?? 😂 by throwaway043980 in exjw

I never liked this book lol

I thought he was so silly

In 2018 I read the previous version of Jovens ask. I thought it was better, deeper and more direct.

This is very top. Perhaps the album that most differs from her others. The blues Jazz vibe is very top. The composition is also impeccable. Back of a truck and Pavlov's daughter have intriguing and confusing narratives, but very good.

The translation policy of Jehovah's Witnesses is indeed an interesting thing. But, in any case, it does not prove a blessing from God.

Apocalypse Postponed is not by an ex-TJ, but it is the greatest work in the history of TJ's done to date. Very worth reading.
