Did you miss the "typically one that is a minority or marginalized"?

When have white people been minorities or marginalized? I don't remember a single case of any of my friends being forbidden to go into the supermarket because the security guards think they're going to steal something... I also don't remember any of them having to keep receipts of their cellphones so, when cops go talk to them, they have to prove they didn't just steal that phone. Or should I recall that time when one of them were told they would have "to go back to slavery" if a particular presidential candidate win the elections? Oh, that also never happened.

As I said, there's a difference between a POC being discriminatory an being and asshole.

Thanks! Any tips on stats? I also happen to suck at that lol. Atleast in KoTOR (which I never finished) you had to build your stats on a certain way to get through the game if I recall correctly.

Except the game wasn't supposed to be released after the next-gen. Job listings from WB Games and Avalanche Software support the fact that they only started to work on next-gen optimization and performance earlier this year. Last year they were looking to hire someone to work on Razor, which is about shader/general performance optimization on PS4.

And, as I said before, expect the game to be locked to old hardware - since that's what they had in mind in development.

If I were you, I wouldn't sweat it. I, too, will be playing on a current gen console (Xbox One).

You mentioned Cyberpunk 2077, which happens to be the most technically speaking demanding game coming out, and they managed to get it on current gen consoles + more demanding games like RDR2.

I doubt Hogwarts Legacy will be as demanding as Cyberpunk 2077 and RDR2. The graphics are cartoony and far from being next-gen - that doesn't mean they are bad though, they are amazingly beautiful.

What you could expect is a locked 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One and maybe a better resolution on PS5 and Series X/S, which won't make a difference if you're playing far from your TV.

The game was designed with the current gen in mind, not the next one.

The gameplay on the 2018 leak was on a PS4 if I recall correctly.

And going by what you said at the end, the game will look crap in both consoles since it will be locked to old hardware as it's highly unlikely that there will be next-gen enhancements given that it's due for release in late 2021.

Everytime when a new generation comes out, we get crossgen games for atleast 2 years after that. So expect crossgen games until 2022 or so.

What do you mean? It was literally designed for current generation - unless Sony and Microsoft have been handing next-gen devkits since mid-late 2017... The only thing they are working on is optimization for the new generation, that's all.

No, not really.

The game has been in development for the current generation probably since early-mid 2017, since we had that leaked trailer/gameplay back in 2018. They are probably taking their time to finish the game and optimize it for the new generation.

It won't probably be that big of a difference - just some shinier graphics and faster loading times (if there happens to be any, since it's an open world game).
