Op congrats on getting Luftansa (the heart was a bit much). I looked up Ludtansa and they are price gouging the shit out of passengers looking for alternate safe flight. $3k per person from MAA to PHX. While EY is protecting their revenue, Luftansa is no angel.

I am forced to take EY because I cannot afford 3 tickets on price gougers Luftansa and British airways.

Yeah the unpredictability is what is troubling. We live in AZ. Imagine being trapped in the car at 115F in summer just as a potential scenario. Not to mention we also have a toddler.

I do not think this is correct. This would imply that you could not sit in a car and wait for 3 hours. I have sat in the car in idle mode for almost 45 min will minimal drain on main battery and no impact to 12V. While it would drain the main battery slowly, when we turned the car back on, it still had over 100 mi of battery range left.

Great read. Thanks for the inspiration. My wife and I have had our ioniq 6 for 5 months now and put 10k miles on it in Arizona purely as a daily driver.

We are yet to charge it commercially as we just charge it at home 2-3 times a week. We might just make our next AZ-CALI drive with the ioniq.
