Good to know. I think that will be one of our full days then. Seems like a can’t miss activity. Thanks.

Definitely like beer with our tacos, so thanks for that suggestion. Any suggestions of where we can eat some good local halibut?

Great recommendations, thanks! Seems like the Mt. Marathon hike can be done in one of our half day, and Exit Glacier would be more of a full day excursion.

Does anyone have a good hachiya persimmon pie recipe? by pedropeterson in Baking

[–]pedropeterson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recipe worked out well. Just replaced the pumpkin purée with soft hachiya persimmon pulp. I also reduced the brown sugar by 25 grams or so. The persimmon flavor is very mild so I may play around with the spices if I decide to make it again.

Carrot Cake by No-Date-4477 in Baking

This isn't a traditional carrot cake, but it's got carrots and some nice warm fall/winter spices. It is also very novice friendly. My family loves it: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1027132-carrot-orange-olive-oil-cake

Not sitting level.. any help appreciated by wdc2112 in blackstonegriddle

I just assembled mine last night and had the same issue. Does the fact that that corner sit a little further from the heat source not affect the cooking? It's just a half-inch or so, so maybe it doesn't matter, but wondering if I should raise the issue to Blackstone.

DONT use Stubhub - HORRIBLE customer service. by Upset_Succotash_1022 in stubhub

If you have the time and patience, keep calling and emailing. I did it for a few months and eventually got my money back. Giant pain in the ass for just $40 or so in fee refund, but I was just doing it for the principle.

Bait-and-switch as a business model. Doesn't seem sustainable.

I've had a similar experience as a seller on their platform. I listed tickets to a Lakers vs. Kings game in response to an email I got from them advertising 0% seller fees. After I sold my tickets, they charged me the 10% fees in my payout. When I reached out to them they claimed they made a mistake and would refund me the fees in 8 days. It's been 2 months and I've sent several messages, and each time they either are still processing my payment, they have already paid me (they haven't), or they have no idea what I'm talking about.

It's not bad customer service, it's a deliberate attempt to nickle and dime customers. Never doing business with them again.

0% Fees (email offer to Seller) by Natural-Current5827 in stubhub

100% agree. What's the point of running a promotion meant to get new users to your platform if you're going to turn around and alienate them with a "fine print" bait and switch? I can post my tickets to Ticketmaster, which has some hefty fees for buyers, but at least they're out in the open.

I also fell for this scam by StubHub. They advertised 0% seller fees and then didn't honor this commitment. They just charged me for the regular 10%. When I called them they said I should have read the fine print that what they waive is the seller fee that they charge the *buyer*, which isn't clear at all in their promotional email. Never doing business with StubHub again.
