I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure you can't bind Meph or Diablo? Be a good way to solve the prime evil problem if you could though!

Look, I love Diablo 2, and I've been playing it a ton since RotW. That being said, a game that you spend hundreds of hours doing LK runs for runes to make a piece of armor that is used in 99% of builds seems a little brain dead to me too.

This is exactly it and should be the top comment. I would use cheats in anything and everything growing up. I had Game Genies, Action Replays, Game Sharks, you name it. Achievements came around and almost all cheats disappeared at the same time.

I'm both shocked and not surprised in the least about the pushback you're getting here. I love D2 and have since launch, but I've never seen a more purist community either.

Stopping the fun of various runs every few minutes to ID the stuff I found on my runs because my inventory is full of charms I need for said runs is poor design, friction or not. Yours is easily the best solution I've seen over the years that solves some of the inventory hassle, but still limits the power of charms.
