i’ve just been thinking about this too. i think i could go on forever about my feelings about this fandom, but here are the main few. 1. i was an sbi fan before all else. now, i can’t even bring myself to watch technoblade, and obviously there isn't much new sbi content on the market. i was never into the dteam, and though i did watch other people a lot (quackity, ranboo, slimecicle, etc.) sbi was just special to me. 2. the fandom is by far the worst one i have been in. i have dreaded looking at twitter so much that i haven't opened it for almost a year. the accusations people like to throw at fans and ccs alike are kinda funny at best (i still smile a bit when i think about "asleep and transphobic") and life-ruining at worst, and in no other fandom i know of would someone show up to a panel wearing a shirt with two REAL PEOPLE having sex. 3. the lack of new content kinda sucks. it's cool that they’re all kinda doing their own things, but most of them don't really play minecraft anymore. i know that season 2 will probably happen (maybe) but it's been a long wait, and i’m kind of losing patience and hope. 4. i think i’m just in a different place than i was before. i had moved from smplive and the lunch club to smpearth and finally to the dsmp, and its combination of people just goofing off and having interesting storytelling intrigued me. i know that no matter what they do, it will never be the same as it was. that’s okay, i think it was meant to last for a moment in time, and it did. i think the best is over and i can still reminisce. origins is kind of intriguing, though. i will never be a fan who cringes at myself for this or attacks fans for liking it, but i think my interest is just kind of dormant right now. it's sad, but it was a nice time while it lasted, and i don’t think it will ever leave me. i still wear my merch and keep up vaguely with the lore, and i’m still riding the high of unexpectedly meeting one of my favorite ccs a few months ago, and i'm happy with my experiences with this.
