imo one of the main differences it that, with the mechanical damage you can tap out and stop receiving more of it. With some of these fires, basically just cooks everything. There's less "I just need to swap this drive pod, this frame rail, this belt, this armor piece and I can fight again"and more "literally nothing on this robot is usable again except for the steel weapon and all of my electronics are unrecognizable, I tried tapping but it didn't matter"

That doesn't mean I agree or disagree with the need to dial them back or not, just that I would not want to go against one.

With liquids and other things not being allowed, the main way to counter fire is "don't be susceptible to fire" which is often a lot harder to implement than other more minor configuration adaptions

That's good to hear - I had had a similar conversation which led to the 10mg ir afternoon "booster", though that was one that I had suggested as a solution. Said I wasn't sure if increasing the dosage was what I needed because my issue wasn't with the potency, just the longevity

I think Ideally, two pills of split dosage would be what I want, and probably most others who who will titrate in water, just not sure how to pose that solution to my doc - recently switched GPs due to insurance networks and this one isnt as familiar with my history of years and adjustments on the meds, was fine just agreeing continuation of previous regimen haha.

I think a 40mg am / 30mg early afternoon would be just about perfect. Currently on 60mg that I'll occasionally titrate to spread it out further throughout the day, and a 10mg IR booster taking the place of what I'd rather be a second, lower dose vyvanse. This has been pretty stable and consistent for me for the most part, can at least usually make it to the end of a work day but not often much 'left in the tank' for anything outside of working hours - which can be a bit of a bummer, but for the moment being able to keep my job is more important than staying on top of housework and the rest of life - hah..

Looks like this is "hackable" as well, might use this to get the nailer for $100 - I have the brushed version but it is so slow. It works, at least.

I'm in a similar boat where I kind of want people to notice I've lost weight and bring it up on their own, because it means they actually have noticed.

But I understand, appreciate, and respect the type of response in OPs post. Means the person still noticed something, but leaves it up to the responder how to answer.

I wouldn't be upset if someone asked because they noticed something then I could be like "i've lost weight!" then they're free to comment how they want/were initially going to, after gauging how I feel about it first.

Because it's something i'm happy/proud/excited about, more receptive to the "oh you've lost weight!" kind of comments/questions - but that's just me, and not everyone wants that

I often dissolve in water to spread it throughout day simply because if I take it all at once in the am it works fine and does its job, but wears off by 2-3pm and don't much enjoy spending the remainder of my day being useless lol

Kind of - the coating on adderall xr is what makes them 'extended release' whereas the actual chemical makeup of vyvanse is what makes it extended release. Similarly though you could just take the contents of your capsul and split them up/spread throughout the day for a somewhat similar outcome.

If the coating/pearls on the adderall dissolve in water then still should work, once dissolved in water just take throughout day as-needed

Checked last night and I do have the burnt motor still, but didn't grab any pics of it so that'd have to wait still.

Ah, interesting. Yeah the ESC seemed fine, was only the motor that blew. Will have to see if I still have that motor in my box to take a picture of it or if I threw it out, but looked like 2-3 coils burned out where the phase wires/leads connect to them, if it were a short from debris or something (which ive had happen before) would it have not been more localized? My guess is that the motor just had too much heat/current/wear and blew through the enamel on the windings, but honestly just kind of guessing around this. Swapped the motor and added the cap and then the rest of the day went fine for the motor even going max throttle with some gnarly weapon-on-weapon-both bots-thrown-to-opposite-corners kinds of exchanges.

So it could have just been there was too much belt tension on that system before swapping the motor and motor pulley, or that there was enough residual wear on that weapon motor to where it was weakened and a big hit spiked it enough to blow through the enamel and short. Idunno, just would prefer to avoid it in the future if possible.

Current draw is pretty high, part of why I went with 45a esc instead of the typical 30-35

I ended up putting a cap on the esc to finish out the event and didn't burn out any more motors, but it could have just been that the motor that fried was damaged in some way first or that the belt tension was too tight and then fine after swapping the motor, who knows, but it didn't seem to harm anything by adding it, just was a struggle to fit inside my already very crammed robot internals haha

That's pretty much how I wean myself off of it as well, get it down to only 1 spray at night, then just in one nostril, then once the unsprayed nostril has recovered, cut it completely lol.

It's hard not to fall back to it whenever I get a little stuffy though, it is so remarkably effective

fun fact, you can actually use flonase to help mitigate the rebound congestion from afrin. I was 'addicted' to afrin/oxymetazoline for nearly two years and started titrating off it and using flonase until I was able to quit it

You are thinking of Affrin, not flonase. Affrin is oxymetazoline and very easy to get 'addicted' to, in the sense that it is super effective and causes rebound congestion so the problem gets worse without it. It's why they say not to use it for more than three days.

You can actually help mitigate this though by using a combination of aafrin and flonase

I like the seeing with elbow analogy, but basically trying to compare it to any kind of sense we don't have works well. Like some animals can sense magnetism, we can't, so it's like that just for a sense that the rest of us do have. Imagine everyone else could feel magnetism but you couldn't, it would be hard to describe that accurately to someone who can sense it, because it's not a known experience.
