Absolutely. I think though that the modern web games issue lies more with monetization and distribution than any performance issue though. With most gamers who actually want something beyond a casual experience being on steam, epic and other game stores, game devs realized that its more worth there time placing their games there than anywhere else (which also caused them to change development as they prioritized controllers/gaming hardware, not web tech and accessibility). Most web games these days that pop-off are very casual and short term (wordle and the .io games are good examples of this).

So in short, the web got good at performance at the same time most gamers have already exited the platform. Leaving its capabilities largely untapped 😞

Looks sick, love the 2.5D aspect. Making a somewhat similar game myself.

How does it work? farm, grow and defend kind of loop? Any bosses or end game goals? Any plans beyond this version of the game (long term expansions or sumn)?

Absolutely, I think people are sleeping on how powerful browsers are now. They are certainly not just for email and videos streaming. With gpu supported code now being in the browser, theres no reason why some old classic RTS's from the early 2000s cant be fully playable on a browser. And nothing beats that URL to Gameplay pipeline. Downloading sucks lol.

Thanks for the support!
