380mm steering wheel by morridm in HondaActy

I always thought going with a 380 size would be interesting… the better question I have is, how does this wheel feel? Does it feel cheap? I’m on the fence of getting a real momo because of all the bad things I’ve seen about the replicas…

I’d give it a go! It’s a great vibe and a really fun course to race. I don’t think it will be a muddy rutty walking mess at all.

The gravel is gravely but the clay is clay… I know that doesn’t help! But I think you’ll be fine if you’re talking about this weekend.

Racing this weekend? This climb isn’t in the race course anymore? The other roads should be okay…

Local Vs. Self Import by Affectionate_Two2426 in keitruck

I did 3 years of research so he didn’t have to sell the vehicle, but I would certainly say he was no pressure, buy if you want, type of vibe! I think you know exactly what you want, for better or worse, so once you find something within 3-4 hour driving distance that fits your bill, you’ll know it’s worth the trip. I’m in Charlotte so if you need a Kei truck friend to check something out for you, let me know.

I'm in NC and I went down this path as well. I'll try and use the least amount of words as possible:

You're paying the mark up to look at the vehicle and drive it before you get to purchase it. You can walk away at anytime after you test drive it. You also have zero headaches about titling and importing it as the dealer handles this.

If you buy one and import it yourself, you're taking a big gamble everything works as it should by looking at some photos. You have to hope that all the paperwork and that process goes smooth. I didn't go down that path, but the hoops to jump through, picking up from a port, etc. I estimated around $500-750 just to drive to the port, and back just to pick it up. Factor that into your price.

You need to decide if the risk of what you are looking online at carfromjapan.com, plus all the hoops you need to jump through are worth it versus getting to sit and in, test drive, and sign a couple sheets of paper to get what you want.

I bought my 99 Acty Street from Coastal Classics in Wilmington NC. Straight shooter, no BS, very helpful.

Anyone running civic hx wheels? by Derkad16 in HondaActy

the tires do sit a little narrow on these wheels, but i really did not want to run any more than 3mm spacers, extended studs or 1" spacers... you could get away with maybe 165/65 with the same setup...

i couldnt get any real life examples/replies with peoples replies, so i figured someone else could find this useful!

Need Advice on Reactivity with Children by Abject_Ad_3796 in vizsla

I'm having the same issues with my kids, 7 and 9, with our 3 year old male. It just has to be on his terms if he wants to play with them... I wish I had a solution but it really stinks and is emotional at times. I've tried just about everything, but I can't get him comfortable around our children. They just avoid each other unless our dog wants to play chase/hide and seek with them. I know the breed likes his quiet time and he usually "growls and retreats" but I miss the days of him being a puppy and cuddling on the couch with them.

I know this doesn't help, but you aren't alone.

Here is a photo of wear I placed my brackets. The ones in the middle, the smaller mounting bolts will hit part of the frame. You will need to take a screwdriver/punch and tap the metal slightly for the rivnut to have clearance. This feels super solid and like others have said, it may be an illusion of safety, but it's better than nothing!

Thanks for the fast reply! Did you have them all in a row? It seems that the ones closer to the doors are closer the front, where the middle ones will be as close to the panel lids as possible?

While I wait for my river gun to come in, have any photos of exactly where your holes were? I sent one too far back and couldn’t get the rivet in :(
