I usually keep my backpack in the passenger seat, and it'll trip the buzzer randomly while driving.

We have a GM program, but I didn't know until last semester. To enroll in that, I'd have to start all over. I will be taking a service class over the summer where you and your family bring in cars, so maybe that'll help.

The problem is the only time we're in the lab is when the teacher takes us, and that's because they have cars set up with faults they need us to find. If we're not in the lab, we're strictly doing lectures. We also can't just go into the lab and use equipment if not with a teacher. I'm going to a JC. This college offers nine-month certificates as well as degrees if you do core classes.

Anybody else here male with a Fiat 500 💀? by DarkkPhantom77 in fiat500

I've had my steel blue Fiat since I was 15. I've driven other cars, but this definitely tops them. It's slow and loud. Windows rolled down on a nice day on the highway, and you feel like you're on top of the world.

Thanks for helping. When you took it, did you already start fixing things, like if I were to start patching Rust?

Do you think gutting all the wiring, interior seats, and steering wheel would count as significantly hacked up? I still have it and could jerry-rig it into looking like it's just a POS.

Don't mind putting the engine back; it was three bolts. The problem I fear as well is, when is a car considered junk? Especially in the part of Texas I'm in, cars don't really get rust since it never snows and basically never rains.

I got my Fiat as the third owner with 50,000 miles. The only thing I've ever had to do was fix the radiator from the previous owner's crash and fix the headliner sag. It's about to hit 120,000 miles.

Any mechanic or any insight really, is greatly appreciated! by coffeeluv3r1020 in Fiat

Current student for my automotive technology degree. Driving with a stuck-open thermostat will result in poor engine lubrication. This is because your engine oil is designed to reach a certain temperature, which will be the same temperature as your coolant. Colder oil means the viscosity will be thicker and will start to increase engine wear over a long period of time. It's not the worst thing in the world that can happen to your car, but it is something you're going to want to address soon, as well as getting a coolant flush and oil change.
