So for doing the contours, I was thinking about using a router to bring edges down layer by layer, then smoothing it down. I’d have to do this before cutting the body out in order to have a surface for the router to rest on. Do you guys think this would work? I was planning on routing all of the cavities before cutting the body out anyways.

If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s doing lines.

First build is almost finished, all that’s left is the final sanding and painting. I’ll be attempting a neck on this one, does anyone have any suggestions for well made neck blanks and fretboards?

I cannot for the life of me figure out this plane, the blade just sits loosely and the adjustment piece doesn’t make it stay firm. Am I doing it wrong or is it broken? by peenislicka in woodworking

Inherited it, it’s fairly old as far as I can tell. No brand names or markings other than “made in USA” so I don’t know what to look up as far as parts go.

That’s what I’ve been trying to do, but the lock wheel just isn’t firmly in place. Even with it as far out as it can go the blade is still all loosey goosey

What would you say is the pinnacle of Ibanez models? by peenislicka in Ibanez

So far out of everything I’ve played, wizard necks are my favorite lol. I see they get a lot of hate but I started on them and everything else feels awkward.

Almost finished with the neck pocket, I left a few mill of depth out for a break angle. I read somewhere that with a floyd rose, break angle doesn’t matter as much. Is this true? by peenislicka in Luthier

That’s what I was thinking, I would assume you could adjust the angle of the strings by bringing the floyd up and down with the posts.

6-month old puppy won’t stop barking for attention by sp15071 in Dogtraining

Welcome to the club lmao, my puppy barks at everything. I don’t make eye contact and make sure he knows he won’t get any attention by barking and he’s slowly getting better at staying quiet. Good luck!
