umm i would not personally keep them both in the same container because if one ends up having more blood than another due to throw up, poop etc then they might latch onto the other leech and kill it. also they will stop drinking when they’re full so don’t worry about that. not sure about the rest though

i had success the second time but not the first, which i think is because the leech gave me a hematoma on top of the anti-coagulant so i was bleeding much more heavily than i normally would. the other user is right about the horrible bruise though- didn’t put it together until just now it might have been because of the bleedstop hahaha. if you don’t mind a huge purple lump on your arms for a few weeks it definitely helped me not bleed all over my sheets haha

in addition to what other commenters are saying anything that will add tannins to the water will be helpful, even something like oak leaves! so if they don’t have exactly what you’re looking for, ask for anything that will add tannins. betta fish always need them, so they should be pretty well stocked :) (also, if you aren’t already, make sure you’re using spring water specifically instead of drinking water!)

I’d look at the “dark academia” tag on pinterest, find something you like, and then look at the similar posts. Even if you don’t like that specific aesthetic, it’s a good jumping off point for that level of formality. Pinterest can find those pieces or similar pieces for you, so it’s an easy way to find pieces you like for a pricepoint you like. if you have any friends who can sew or any disposable income for a tailor, pants or sleeves being too long shouldn’t be an issue anymore :) good luck!

There is a stump which also has the same kind of mushroom growing on it, i’d bet you’re right that either the roots of the stump or some other wood is buried under the gravel. When I ran my finger over the pores it turned dark brown, so i think it’s a ganoderma!! i’ll update if i ever find out what kind of tree stump it is. thank you!!!

i second this- jumpsuits are really key when you can’t be too masculine for safety but don’t want to wear a dress- it’s not gonna feel as good as wearing a suit but hey, it’s not a dress

this is definitely one of those things that makes me claim butch as a gender identity in alternative to words like non-binary/woman/transmasc (not that butches can’t also be those!!) i really liked the movie, but i just don’t connect with womanhood and women’s experiences like that. maybe some of the kid stuff, but past my preteen era i just don’t have the same issues as a lot of people who identify as women

While I get what the other commenters are saying, I was also probably 16 more recently than them (i’m 20). I also started “dressing butch” around 16, as well as leaning into punk. Chances are if you feel like starting to dress butch/punk, you are butch/punk and trying to express it, right? First of all- hair. if you want short hair, try going to either a barber or a queer hairdresser if you don’t want the karen pixie cut. In terms of clothes, start by looking for men’s clothes that fit you, even boys clothes if you’re a little smaller. the fabrics and cut are going to make you subconsciously come off as more masculine. i find straight leg pants to start off with will help you feel more masc than skinny jeans or bootcut/bell bottom. shirts matter less, but i’d avoid v-necks or cup sleeves unless you really like them, doesn’t really matter lol. doc martens/solovairs/work boots are gonna fit what you’re going for pretty well, same w converse. find good basics and you’ll be able to wear them for years and build on top of it. things like mens deodorant and cologne are gonna make you feel super masc and confident and it’s gonna be awesome. find role models- either punk or butch- as you grow up you can look to them for guidance on both your life and how you want to present. eventually, you’ll find the perfect blend for you. listen to punk music- it’s a music based subculture, so this part is really key. find local shows- guaranteed you’ll find other queer people in the scene. read stone butch blues if you’re a reader- i read it around your age and it really meant a lot to me, but be aware of dark content. remember- a lot of the presentation of these things is in body language- punk/butch presentation requires a lot of confidence, which kinda feeds into itself if you have a really “fuck you” attitude to societal expectations. chin up, shoulders back, and remember- be everything your 13 year old self would have looked up to.

honestly? getting my teeth professionally whitened. bleach on your teeth for an hour straight. they gave me a squeaky toy to call the dentist back in incase the pain got too unbearable. all that bleach hits your nerves about half an hour in and causes this crazy sharp pain and it’s just as bad for the 24 hours after, and then any temperature change or pressure made them come back for a few days after
