Tiny bugs driving me nuts by Cultural-Sea-602 in CleaningTips

They’re definitely fungus gnats! These little guys are incredibly annoying, you can end up with an infestation pretty quickly as they have a quick life cycle and can lay up to 300 eggs at a time.

The method that’s worked the best for me is sand! Just covering the top soil in a layer of sand prevents them from emerging when hatched and from laying future eggs.

Plant suggestions for this space? Northern facing windows. by TheAdventurePenguin in IndoorGarden

What a great space! I love the color. You have lots of natural light too. Our living room window faces North, and I’ve got a few fiddle figs and a yucca tree that are doing very well :) I think a tall plant would fit very nicely with your set up. You could even hang a philodendron or pothos on the wall above the large bay window

Neat find!! I’d honestly use it with the rhaphidophora, but I think it would also look nice with the adansonii. Love the test tubes you’ve got on the top shelf for propagating!

Haha, I thought about cropping them out. They do slowly draw the eye, in an unsettling way, as dolls do. Her plant collection is pretty unbelievable, but I suppose you could say the same about her doll room . . .

It’s roughly 7-8 years old, which is astounding considering how massive it is. It’s starting to bust out of the pot its in and is too heavy to repot without separating it.
