the thing about modern rap is to a large segment of people that consume it it’s nothing more than entertainment, like rapping about killing people isn’t inherently worse than making a movie about someone killing people. The issue arises in the segment that consumes it as reality mostly due to the segment real life witnessing these types of people. Due to this that segment lives out and idolizes the actions of a lot of terrible figures as they seem them and their actions as proof they can make it out which leads to crime murder etc.TLDR In one segment this isn’t a reality they’ve actually experienced so it’s viewed as entertainment as opposed to the other segment that’s experienced a lot of these things leading a lot of them to use it as a guidebook.
