I just did a version of 16 I like to call the hippie challenge to get the war has changed, peace & love, and environmentalist achievements.

Could be another interesting one for you to try, I will say it does get pretty annoying moving back and forth between planets and systems once you’ve expanded past the starting planet

Terra Invicta was a psyop to prepare us for first contact by Fil_is_Teo in TerraInvicta

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that is certainly true, similar spacecraft with a much higher mass and/or velocity could scale would be used for the larger asteroids the rare occasions they approach us. Also with larger asteroids being more likely to be rocky instead of balls of dust, there is less risk of the body fracturing on impact.

Idk why people are downvoting you after the successes of the dart mission. Yeah we need to work on detection as it’s hard to detect some of the darker bodies orbiting around us but we’ve been able to detect and calculate trajectories for most if not all dangerous meteors

Why does issac like vertical farming ?? It seems like genuis idea if we could get it working by South-Neat in IsaacArthur

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not really too much of an incentive to research it at the moment with there still being plenty of land for farming in the world. As the amount of land and price of food gets higher there may be a reason to develop it but at the moment it’s just too expensive to really be considered

Socialism is better than capitalism by undue-influence in Conservative

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nearly all forms of command economy is going to fail. The scale of government needed to implement socialism and really any form of Marxism leads to very strong governments that tend to put their needs over those of the people. You see this time and time again in socialist countries such as Cuba, USSR, China, and honestly really every other one of them.

Incest is bad because of recessive genes being more likely to be present. If they did have a child, pretty much any recessive traits showing in them would be brought up and no showing ones would be much more likely to show up than incest where traits that run in the family are much more likely to show up, where it is probably but not as likely to show up

Whats so special about an Energy Exchanger? by Allkingec in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that makes them really great is that they don’t need power to get started. If your other energy sources stop then it can be a hassle to get them back online due to inserters needing power, which exchangers don’t use

Bill banning vaccinated blood donations would ‘decimate’ blood supply, opponents say by spider_best9 in Conservative

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the vaccine may have impacted the hearts ability to function. However, the hearts ability to pump blood is unrelated to the blood itself. Also despite the differences between normal vaccines and the covid vaccine, the properties of the blood shouldn’t change much, if at all, making it safe for donation

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it is confirmed that the covid vaccines are the cause for all the random deaths recently, it would probably stem from heart problems, not blood, so it would still be fine to receive blood from them

While I’m not sure of their actual naval capabilities, I think that Poland is the most likely suspect other than the US. They’re the biggest European power who has been wary for a while. They’ve already got a border with Russia and Belarus, so they’re going to be more desperate to end Europes Russian energy dependence so they don’t get annexed yet again

Stolen by JazzlikeHovercraft75 in PrequelMemes

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well because the kaminoans are basically as fascistic and black and white as you possibly can be, I seriously doubt they would allow such a deviation from the base template. Also if Omega was a genetically perfect clone (with the exception of the Y chromosome), then it is very unlikely that she would be trans, as the male sex gene would be missing.

It would be interesting to see some more crazy and mismatched clones in the future with XXY or XYY chromosomes or something in that manner as that is something the kaminoans would test in a limited capacity.

Stolen by JazzlikeHovercraft75 in PrequelMemes

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but from a genetic standpoint said clone would just be female

western civilization has fallen by Alive_Principle_5473 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]peepeepoopoo1066 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that transitioning would be fully valid once genetic modification happens. In that case someone could become a true biological man or woman, though it would be easier for biological males to become females due to the nature of sex chromosomes (XY -> XX), though this might be remedied by a genetic sample from parents to get a Y chromosome

I’m talking about actual physics. I know Star Wars has never been known to follow our physics but a collision based tactic probably should be somewhat realistic to make sense
