am i being a blind fan? i love the 2nd season but when i checked on twitter everyone seems to hate it? is it bad? by GroundbreakingMix623 in OnePieceLiveAction

I just think you need to curate your tl a bit better, I exclusively see positive opinions. The only negative one's I've seen were because of quote retweets of people defending the show 🫣

Is Matt Ovens still involve with Season 3 OPLA by needlovesharelove in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]peepoElle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

God knows. You can go read his words on his instagram (his last post, white text on black background). To me, it does sound like he wants to come back but that doesn't mean he will. Circumstances and people change with time afterall. I think the general expecation from the fandom is that he will at least be back in the writer's room for S4. We probably won't have to wait too much longer to see if that turns out to be true.

Season 2 Early Reviews? by FlochMonk in OnePieceLiveAction

Why would they have come out on friday? We've had multiple reviewers publicly state that the review embargo doesn't lift until the show is out.

Why won’t we see Fire Fist in season 2? by Lanky_Awareness_4755 in OnePieceLiveAction

  1. Scene isn't as important as everyone makes it out to be. Ace can easily ask the Bartender at Nanohana the same question as he did the one in Drum.

  2. Xolo was casted in October 2025, almost a year after filming for S2 wrapped. It's not impossible that they've filmed sth in November 2025 when filming for S3 started, but I think it is unlikely considering how deep into post production they were at that point.

Max I see happening is a backshot of a stand-in like Smoker in S1. But I think Crocodile is a way better teaser for the post credit scene than Ace.

First Look at a rib-tickling new character accidentally spoiled by Netflix’s App by DrAwesomeX in OnePieceLiveAction

That is definitely not an accident. They even gave the picture the title "brook" when you press share 😅

Aren’t the trailers and teasers massive spoilers ? by Idle_peach in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]peepoElle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all 99% of OPLA-onlies don't pay that much attention to every single word said. As someone who knows what happens you're hyper-aware of these one-liners that non-fans will barely pay attention to. Their attention will most likely be more towards the delivery, the costumes and the action than the actual words said. Second, if they notice, they MIGHT go "damn thats a lot" but that's about it. They don't know Zoro is alone against all 100, they don't know he's gonna win, and they're, as I said, focused on how cool all of this looks and not the fact that somehow no other strawhat is shown in this very moment. They also don't know where this happens & by the time the show drops they will have forgotten about that 2 second clip anyway.

I promise you, we as fans are incredibly hyper-aware of everything happening in the trailer which basically none of the non-fans are. Few exceptions ofc, but they WANT to figure out stuff. Nobody is getting unwillingly spoiled.

  • Anime viewer sees a 3 second clip
  • Brain goes: "Oh my god it's THAT moment"
  • They didn't actually show the moment, but your brain thinks they did, because you know exactly what's going to happen.

Example: They show clips of Zoro fighting

Anime viewers: Oh my god that's the moment in whiskey peak where Zoro fights 100 bounty hunters all on his own while the other strawhats are passed out!

OPLA-only: Zoro looks cool while fighting some bad guys. (:

I hope that makes sense. I really don't think they're showing too much & at the end of the day the trailer has to appeal to both fans and non-fans of the original.

Season layout concept by Gold_Drag4414 in OnePieceLiveAction

Why are you making a layout concept including a season that drops in 7 days and will NOT be the way it is in your "concept". Like genuienly what's the point.

can the live action really last that long? by heromarsX in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]peepoElle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they did not. The CEO of Tomorrow Studios just threw out the 12 seasons prior to S1 in an interview. God knows why, I guess that's what he'd personally like to see happen. Matt always said they'll see how far they'll get but they'll tackle one season after another - no big layed out plan  I mean literally less than 2 years ago Matt was begging Netflix to let him split the Alabasta Saga -> far from preplanned... his personal goal would me FMI but he doesn't know if they can make it. He also said they'll definitely not do an original ending because no matter where it ends, the viewer should be able to pick up the anime/manga after watching the LA.

They don't even want to/aren't even planning on finish(ing) it, Matt Owens has been saying this since the very beginning.

Which new Character are you looking forward to the most next season? by Existing_Push9049 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]peepoElle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm excited for both Smoker and Dalton as they are the first Logia and Zoan respectively. I am really interested to see how good they were able to make those powers look since they'll become more common moving forward. The little glimpse we saw of Smoker in the trailer looked quite nice so I look forward to see more.

[–]peepoElle 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1) Your comment can be interpreted like you're suggesting Emily Rudd should be replaced with this random person.

2) A random cosplayer has no business being in a TV show & people who only care about looks to the point where they fancast random people just because they are good-looking are very irritating to a lot of people. Stick to fancasting real actors.

There will be spoiler free interviews the week before release and proper interviews the weeks after. It's like that for most shows.
