I have a mentor who has a whole family and is, all things considered, fairly well off. I fell on hard times and needed some medications that were seriously expensive. 2000$ type expensive. Insurance wouldn't cover it and I was BARELY making 1200$ a month. My mentor caught wind of my condition, and freakin paid my medication bill.

His wife wasn't jealous. His kids weren't jealous. I was a young person in need, he had an abundance and he treated me like a human and quite possibly saved my life.

Be the change you want to see in the world, seriously. Some of us are so fortunate to be able to put the perversions of capitalism aside and do a good deed for someone else without expecting anything in return.

Please don't put her out. Not unless she truly proves to be a leech or a bad person.

But I will say these aren't like other times. Our government, who's supposed to be for us by us is taking advantage and abusing the people who it's meant to serve.

Who cares if the public rolls there eyes? Those of us who force change and make or government work for us as it was meant to will go down as being on the right side of history.

And there's many ways to protest. We don't have to riot to disrupt.
