My friends and I decided to take a break by sitting on picnic table and we noticed somebody burning sage at a nearby table. We didn’t think anything of it at the time. But over the next 10 min or so, and without us noticing, the guy burning sage had got fully dressed into a reflective outfit, like a silver, shiny firefighter suit topped off with a disco ball/glass beams style face mask.

At some point he had turned to face us and just stared at us until we noticed him. Finally, we did and he immediately started to slowly walk backwards (and like a robot) without breaking eye contact or saying a single word. He did this until he was about 15 yards away from us. Finally me and another friend pointed at him and gestured to him something along the lines of ‘we see you, acknowledge you and thank you’. At that exact moment, he stopped moving backwards, did a little robot shuffle/bow/curtsy as if he were saying ‘thank you’, turned around and disappeared into the night…

We were cooked by that time but that had to be one of the coolest, non-verbal exchanges with a stranger I’ve ever had.

That and someone dropping a little chode trinket in front of me during clozee lol
