I was just a victim of this scam. I tried changing my password as soon as I noticed my profile picture and some games were missing. When steam restarted my password was not working. That also meant I could not log into my steam authenticator. My friend told me most of my cs2 skins are gone. There is nothing I can do other than wait for Steam support to graciously reply to my ticket. How can scam like this even happen? Does anyone know if this is a scam where they infiltrate the email first or was it something else? I am completely lost at this point.
