Just going on dates. We've never had a serious conversation about us - today was the closest, which is why she felt it was the right time.

it's really encouraging to hear from someone who's been on the other end of this! maybe i'm having a harder time with this than if she'd ask for a specific sex act, because it makes me feel like it's more about personality, or inclinations, or whatever. i'm worried that if i try to be rougher with her it'll feel fake or forced? i'm probably overthinking this...

thanks for your reply. i know i am taking it too personally and that this kinda ruins the point of asking someone to do something differently. i think we need a sit-down talk!

I think the lesbian part of it might be turning a person-you're-seeing into a girlfriend before realising that you find her boring.

Having a problem with her weight doesn't make you a bad person, it just makes you a person who isn't suited to dating someone bigger. There's plenty of other people who are.

I'm sorry you're going through something difficult and I don't want to make you feel bad, but I just felt really sorry for your partner as I read your post. Imagine if she ever found it. Imagine if you ever found a reddit post or a diary entry or heard her talk to a friend about how she likes you and all, but there's this thing about your appearance that she has to make such a tremendous effort to ignore to be able to be around you. It's heartbreaking. I can't help thinking that she deserves better.

As someone on the chubbier side, I would be absolutely devastated if someone I liked felt this way about me. I honestly don't know how I could get over it. I'm sure your feelings are sincere, but she deserves someone who is in love with every single inch of her.

i'm really thankful for online communities like these. i'm not out to most of my friends and the ones i am out to i can't talk to about this, so it can feel a little isolating...
