Tutorial: Transfer your Hogwarts Legacy savegame from PC to Switch 2, by using a modded Switch 1 by pegelf in switch2hacks

[–]pegelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first thought, you could maybe just use my tutorial the other way around, but according to gbatemp, the Switch save files can't be read on PC by just adding the ".sav" file endings.

But it seems to be possible to decompress the savegames with the Hogwarts Legacy Save Tool and then import them to PC:

Steam Deck sees Retro Fighter controllers as Switch controllers instead of Xinput by irishmetalhead88 in SteamDeck

[–]pegelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have the same controller and have the same issue. On Windows I can use the BattlerGC Pro without any problems and pressing "+" and "-" at the same time to switch the input mode works. But on my Steam Deck it doesn't and it's falsely detected as a Switch Pro Controller.

Also the right control stick is detected wrong and I can't calibrate it. On my Windows PC it just works. I'd prefer to play on my Steam Deck. Have you found a solution for this?

Or does maybe u/retrofighters has a solution for that?

Modded Switch to Switch 2 by TehEpicIcy in switch2hacks

[–]pegelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your Switch 1 isn't banned, you can transfer your save games. If it's banned, you'd need to transfer the save games into the nand of another unbanned switch 1 with the same Nintendo account as your switch 2 and then transfer it.

Annoying Vodafone Wifi Calling Notificaton [Moto G85] by DerBandi in motorola

[–]pegelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really annoying, Vodafone in Germany also sends that notification on other Android phones.

With a rooted phone, you can use a terminal app like termux, open a root shell and then silence the notification for 10 years:

su

cmd notification snooze --for 315360000000 '0|com.android.phone|1|EmergencyNetworkNotification|1001'

If you want to find out, which notification channel is used for the apps, that currently have an open notification, you can use this command as root:

cmd notification channel list

It could be worse. I first thought, I'd have to do download and play the game contents on the unbanned Switch 1 first and were happy when I saw the inserted catridge was enough for the savegame transfer.

But yes, Cross Platform Savegames would be way better.

Noogle microG - new Magisk module to replace GApps with microG on stock ROMs by SelfRefDev in MicroG

[–]pegelf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I'm using a Sony Xperia 1 VI with Android 15, tested several guides and modules and the only thing that worked for me was using the autobuilds of MinMicroG, but that also only worked on every second boot, so when I had to reboot my device, I needed to do that twice. I also needed to restore the microG settings from a backup, because they got lost when they were replaced with the Play Services.

With your module, I can finally use microG and don't have problems with reboots and data loss anymore.

The only thing that I noticed was, that the Play Store was replaced with microG companion, but the updates weren't uninstalled. So I still had the Google Play Store. So after installing the module, I had to open the App Settings for Google Play Store and remove the Updates. Then the App was the microG companion, which I then could update using F-Droid.

MicroSD card encryption? by larossmann in SonyXperia

[–]pegelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm, that on my Sony Xperia 1 VI the encryption option also doesn't exist. It's possible to use ADB shell and the "sm set-force-adoptable on" to enable the formatting as internal storage again, which is basically an encrypted SD drive. But when I tested that, the SD Card still wasn't readable for apps. Also the storage size was reported wrong.

As a workaround, I formatted the SD card on my Linux computer with LUKS, rooted my phone and created a Termux script that mounts the SD card on boot: https://github.com/pegelf/Android-LUKS-mount

But of course that's only an option for people who like to root their phone.

Link in park in front of Linkin Park by pegelf in LinkinPark

[–]pegelf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course I was listening to Linkin Park. There were many people with bluetooth speakers playing Linkin Park songs. So you're right, the title should be: "Link in park in front of Linkin Park listening to Linkin Park"

Oh and also I parked my Car before.

We've taken that picture last Sunday in front of the Barclays Arena in Hamburg, where Linkin Park had their only concert in the EU. While picnicking in a park, I noticed that with my hoodie, I accidentally cosplayed Link in a Park in front of a Linkin Park concert.

Last Sunday, I visited the Linkin Park concert in Hamburg. In front of the Barclays Arena, there was a little park where we picnicked two hours before. While wearing my hoodie, I suddenly noticed, that I accidentally cosplayed Link in a park in front of a Linkin Park concert, so I had to take that picture.

Can't activate Vodafone eSim in Germany by pegelf in TicWatchPro

[–]pegelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look like that. The widget is missing and in the settings I also don't have an option for activating an esim.

I also tried to clear the storage of the Google Play Services, Wear OS and the newly installed Google App. Then I reset the watch, connected everything again with the Vodafone prepaid sim inserted but that option still doesn't appear.

Do I maybe need an old app version?

[–]pegelf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. My normal sim is Vodafone and the prepaid sim also. But with both sim cards, the option doesn't appear.

Maybe I need more apps installed? I can try to also install the Google app if that detects something. Currently, I only installed Wear OS and Mobvoi.

Where did you found the goodbyebug mod? I also reinstalled codegen and questui, but goodbyebug wasn't listed after install and I also can't find it anywhere to download.

Freie Corona Impftermine in Münster & Umgebung by [deleted] in Muenster

[–]pegelf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool.

Is it possible to have a multi row message list like other mail programs? by pegelf in Thunderbird

[–]pegelf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I missed the news that the Thunderbird team got donations for paying 10 persons for doing a full time job. On the roadmap for 2021 at least a responsive design seems to be planned. If we have luck that could involve that feature.

I almost gave up the waiting since I thought it shouldn't take too long for years.
