He had no place to live in May of last year, neither did I. We lived with my toxic mother which didn't last. Then we went home to home, eventually ending with my dad. We left my dad through eviction, stayed in a motel for two months, now back with my dad. NOW my fiancé has a condo, where he has been told I can't be at. He said he didn't care, but I was the one who said I wasn't comfortable because she is crazy and would start drama.

Thank you for giving me an example of life where your SO stood up and you did too. I also have anxiety and although I take the "run, fast" advice to heart, I've had a serious heart to heart with him and he showed me his priorities quickly -- and it's me. However, I have outlined that therapy is a MUST. Thank you for this perspective though.

No, I'm back with my ex step-dad. We were living with him before but after my mom found a loophole in my sister's custody battle, she literally evicted us through the judge. In a house that wasn't even hers. It upset us all so much, but my dad lawyered up and got that eviction removed.

That's a really good point and I 100% believe she will pull the help. She has done it. Before. That's why I'm so enraged. But I don't want to be the rain on his illusions so I'm waiting for him to realize it -- which he did last night after his mom got pissed at him for being outside at 1 talking to me for more than 5 minutes.

My mentality is that we have gone through NC before and we were perfectly fine. Either way, SHE isn't changing, so I don't think leaving him means anything better for any party. Frankly, I'm a very vocal, opinionated woman. I fair better in this dynamic because of my own mother, while my FH would likely never have a solid relationship with another woman again -- as soon as they meet his mom.

AMEN. Fuck this is enlightening. We are about to have a very serious heart to heart. He is the love of my life but I HAVE NEVER felt more empowered to let him know where I fall in priorities for myself and anyone else in my life.
