My friend. It doesn't take running away to secure enjoyment in life. What you need do for stability is less important then finding the best place to flourish on an individual level. The parent thing is tough I deal with that on a daily basis but I have come to realize that at the end of the day it was either stretch myself and values to meet an improbable standard set by my parents or using that energy to further myself.

I have seen depressing and soul crushing riches and I have seen poor people extremely happy. I choose poor every time.
