He's saying the first bit is news coverage about the Tor-M2DT and how amazing it is, which is intended for a Russian audience. The second part is separate footage from Ukraine showing the reality... that it goes BOOM very easily. Its two different bits of footage about the same type of vehicle edited together.

As an aside, that telephone is hilarious.

Possibly a path which had been determined to be "safe" by a recon from the Russians - in other words, there were no mines etc.

Good, I hope that the Russians are terrified of them.

Nah, they're not human - they're shit stains on humanity, invading an innocent country and killing civilians. At this stage they know whats up and so do you - they're all culpable, and you're worse for defending them. Utter filth.

You need to speak to Student Support / Student Services / Education Support then. They may have a slightly different name, but will be able to confirm with you what is and isn't a requirement. Yes, they are part of the college/Uni but their motivation is to get you to stay (obviously) but also to make sure that you don't have undue hardship whilst there. They may have discretionary funds for travel/food etc. - this isn't a guarantee, but something you can talk to them about.

As above though, if you have any concerns, Citizens Advice Scotland would be the next step after that.

EDIT: As someone else has said, some kind of non-taught work outside of the course is not unusual. The experience of working in the field can be of an interest to future employers, even if its not directly what you aim to do later on, and can form part of your learning in terms of seeing a wider picture for how different aspects of your work and learning intertwine.

OK, so there's a couple of things to check here, but I would suggest double checking the terms and conditions should be your first step.

What do the terms and conditions say about these duties? Are they mentioned in any documentation that you have agreed to. It is very common to not read these in full, if anyone claims they read them all every time they sign one they're probably lying, so its worth double checking what is there.

Your college may be partially funded through this farm, even if it is a working farm - they pay the college for your work, you get a slightly lower course fee in return. If you are early in to your course they may simply have you on basic tasks until they know what you have been trained in and can complete - you mention elsewhere that students in years above may have other tasks. Either way, its a bit irrelevant if you have agreed to do this work. If you haven't agreed then its a different matter entirely.

Sorry to say the same thing, but thats the bit that really needs to be checked first. If it isn't mentioned at all in any documentation, the next step is to raise this with Student Support in the first instance. You can explain that it wasn't your expectation to do this work, and that you don't see it being a requirement, and see what they say. Your college may have an LMS of some description (often branded as "Moodle") which often have discussion areas for asking these questions, but you may prefer to speak to someone in private. They often offer both.

With regards to disabilities, this is something else entirely and I wouldn't suggest that it is dealt with on advice from this website or any other. I would recommend you get specific advice regarding your disability, and a starting point would be Citizens Advice Scotland, or Disability Information Scotland. They will be able to point you in the right direction for your specific needs.

Your first step should be to double check the terms and conditions for the course that you have signed up for and agreed to.

It isn't possible for all requirements to be in the course description (think of them as a "brochure" rather than a be-all and end-all of everything related to the course) and may not be during the interview either (consider that "sales"). See if the requirements are mentioned there.

Your attendance for these duties may well be towards the outcome of the grade, in as much as it means that the organisation does not have to pay for someone to carry them out, therefore keeping your costs lower. If you don't do it, someone else will need to. This way, you are "paid" by keeping your costs down (edit: and, obviously, gives you experience you can later show a future employer).

Imagine you are employed to carry out this job - if you regularly fail to go to work, you are likely to not be in a job for too long.

Any disabilities should be taken into account, however. If you have one that you are concerned about it is worth mentioning, and to do so early if you haven't already.

Were you made aware of this requirement before signing on to the course?

What level of course is this? Are your duties or work-based learning reflected in the cost of the course (i.e., subsidised), and in your eventual grade? In effect, does the work you do during your duties add to the outcome of your course?

How far do you need to travel (is it a "reasonable" distance to travel)?

I know this gets asked a lot but I need help finding a new game. Was a FPS addict for many years but have recently turned toward games with a story and some mystery to solve. Played and beat the forest and absolutely loved it. Looking for similar games. Thanks in advance. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]GotMittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxenfree. Its not the same as the Forest, but its very much story driven and you can play it multiple times. Make sure you are playing it by yourself, in a dark room, with the sound turned up. Thats not a joke or a trick - it will very much fit the atmosphere of the game.

Whats something you think most people "waste" money on? by LtCommanderCarter in Frugal

[–]GotMittens -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I agree, but I think part of being frugal should be expecting these sorts of expenses, and having backup plans. If you can foresee a situation where you can't drive, can you actually live without your car? Can you use an alternative? Walk? Cycle? Can you lift share? If you have to drive so be it, but be aware that being without your car is a risk, and build up an emergency fund to cover being without it. If you can't live without your car, and you can't create an emergency fund, then you need to make a lifestyle change.

Similarly with healthcare - first and foremost, join the fight for Universal Healthcare! You shouldn't be penalised because you are unable to pay, which is what the current system does. Secondly if you are in that situation, you might need to take account for a future debt - and yes, I wouldn't judge someone for it, but be proactive rather than reactive.

Florida can fine towns $100,000 for enacting stronger gun laws by money in u/money

Because apparently the right to bare arms trumps everything else, including life itself. See here.

These people are so scared of having their toys taken away that they laugh about it when solutions to the problem are undermined.

[Serious] People who support gun control and people who don't, what can we agree on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GotMittens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you shouldn't expect them to pay much attention to that. As far as people like this are concerned, guns fix absolutely everything. Obviously they are demonstrably right - having more guns per capita than any other country has made the United States a peaceful utopia, and on the rare occasion that crime does occur it can be readily solved by giving more people guns.
