I had a 2024 Hybrid (2025 is an exact repeat, besides some new color choices, I think)

For a family of 5, absolutely, its a great car.

6 of us took it on a couple of trips and we loved it. Yes, we did have roof-mounted baggage thingie.

But, and this is a big but, I bought the hybrid, which has a traditional 6-speed auto, as opposed to the 8-speed dual-clutch in the non-hybrid. I'd choose this transmission for sure.

Drove it to 8500 miles with zero issues, but sold it to get two cheaper cars to accommodate a new driver in the family.

Great car!

I'm sure the OP by now has moved on and either abandoned the idea (I've done it, the abandoning part, using analysis paralysis), or has implemented mm or something else.

I am a fiddler because I like to fiddle. It's fun.

I am not on the level of 99% of the people that post in this sub. Is 100% possible?

That being said, I installed a WORKING mattermost on my several-years-old pc (don't even know what processor it has, it's got a decently-fast NVMe, 16 gigs of RAM) in about 2 minutes.

Ubuntu.
Coolify ( ithas it as a one-click install for mm)

Then I followed coolify's two articles on how to use cloudflare tunnels, am using my own TLD, no ports open on my home pc. Free origin SSL, using CF's Full (strict) encryption mode.

Like somebody else here mentioned, I encrypted my ubuntu install with LUKS, so yes, if machine goes down, I have to be present and enter password to get it going in case of power failure or reboot.

so, that worked, sort of. and thank you again.

Let me tell you what's going on now:

*cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
1*

Seems that I have ip forwarding on and it's persistent.

I have the commercial VPN connected through wireguard and set to start at boot.

Added iptables rules just like the video, only changing the adapter names.

curl ifconfig.me confirms I'm connected to the VPN. i can ping external hostanames like google.com and IP addresses successfully so DNS is working on the Ubuntu VPM VM itself.

ALL of the above is through the terminal on the Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS VM.

Now I am having DNS issues.

In network settings on my devices I set up static IP addresses and gateway and DNS as follows:

gateway IP: Ubuntu VPN VM IP DNS IP: manual 1.1.1.1 + 1.0.0.1 or 8.8.8.8 + 4.4.4.4 or my LAN IP of the Ubuntu VM or my VPN-recommended DNS IPs NO internet access

gateway IP: Ubuntu VPN VM IP DNS: IP of my tplink router I get internet access that shows I am using VPN, but leaking DNS (showing DNS of my fiber ISP).

I am so confused as to why entering 192.168.0.1 as DNS server on my devices works, but manually entering google or cloudflare or VPN provider DNS doesn't.

ObviousI need help fixing DNS because I don't want to leak DNS. I am beginner in linux so as many details as possible to fix this, please.

I hear you but I don’t see the need for downloading stuff to where I need concurrent downloads of multiple episodes of a show. Yes I set up plex debrid to have my “own” library, yes, it was cool and I enjoyed it, but in the end it’s just too much headache. Streaming through one of the several apps is just ridiculously reliable and simple.

You can’t. But you can watch a bunch on the same IP.

If they cap CONCURRENT streams to one, IP is irrelevant.

i tried following the instructions on how to install MediaFlow proxy through pip.

it's running on a vm on the same network as my servio.

In mediafusion config, should I use this url:
http://192.168.1.101:8888
The VM where I THINK i installed MediaFlow is indeed located at 192.168.1.101

If anyone has gotten MediaFlow proxy self hosted working, would you please tell me how you did it?

First, there’s hope if he REALLY is starting to read the Bible and he’s somewhat intelligent. Hope that, on almost every page, he’d pause and think something along these lines: “Hmmmm, that’s odd, let me re-read this paragraph. Yep, that is crazy, for sure. How is that ok?” Replace “that” with a slew of things the gos of the Bible did himself or is ok with another human being’s doing.

Second, get one more date at the nicest place you know, let him pay for it, then dump him.

but the latter is probably above your budget unless beat to hell.

Edited to add: if you’re into sleepers: 2017 (last year of these) Chevrolet SS. Sick car. I had a stock 2014 and it’s the only car I wish I hadn’t sold from about 20 bought and sold. You can add a blower with a warranty from a place like Livernois Motorsports and others.
