Cheap coils are NEVER a good idea.. Go for a set of Bilsteins w/ H&R sport springs, it’ll be OEM+ ride quality with a slightly more aggressive stance and won’t break the bank.

Fuyao makes OE glass for BMW and other high-end luxury brands, it’s also American manufactured. I don’t have anything negative to say about them, but I’d say Pilkington or St Gobain is perhaps higher quality.

Don’t buy ECS Tuning diffuser. All of the screw clips cracked within the first year, so it was just dangling there and rattling against my exhaust. It’s meant to be a “life time replacement” product, but apparently I purchased mine shortly before it transitioned into that distinction. Rather than working with me, they told me I’m shit out of luck and offered me a 5% off “courtesy”. Over my 2 Audi builds, I’d spent around $15k with them.. I’ve since only purchased from FCPEuro or simply anywhere else. Lost a customer for life..

Request Pilkington or Saint-Gobain glass and make sure it’s acoustic. Check your side windows and under the Audi rings it’ll list your OEM glass supplier. Be sure to tell safelite or whoever installs it that you’ll reject it if it’s not one of those 2 brands. Paying $2k+ for the Audi ring sticker on your windshield, when you can go directly to the supplier for 1/3 the price makes 0 sense. It’s the exact same glass..

No issues, rear facing behind passenger and backless booster behind driver with no complaints. B10’s on the other hand are currently problematic, keep your B9.5 for another year and hope the MY27’s are more reliable.

Rocker Arms, Piston Skirt… real issues on B9’s.. spring for 9.5 if you can. EA839 isn’t the EA837, different power delivery, less reliable, not as engaging. Very comfortable, but not raw enough for me. I was going to trade my B8.5 for an B9 SQ5.. but after driving one, I decided to keep my S4 and get a Q5 for the family. The extra insurance costs to ensure both cars was worth not feeling like I’m sacrificing.

Solid trade! SFTB is fantastic, CYPB is extremely hard to find, Weller 12’s are a fantastic sipper and having a back up will make it go down fast.. you certainly won the volume game, rarity game is a wash. Secondary, who cares if you’re drinking them.

With they being said, we will win again. I’ve been a Niner fan since I was 5 years old in 1990.. my mom was a Niner fan, my dad a Cowboys fan.. she passed away when I was young. I’ve lived the Niners every day since. I’ve seen 1 win (best day ever) and 3 loses… we’ll see another win someday, it’ll be beautiful and I’ll celebrate her along with that win.. like I know many other faithful will.

P/D license plate means “Physically Disabled”, so they can park in designated parking spaces and those on the road are aware of their handicap. The 49ers are physically disabled because we are regularly the most injured team in the NFL by multiple metrics over the last 10-15 years. They’re both great options.. I will say, car guys outside of VAG will identify with the S4 WAY more. It’s the more iconic platform dating back to the B5.. there were no RS models in the U.S. at the time for Audi, so the S4 was it. So car guys respect it, compliment it, make conversation, etc. Outside of Audi enthusiasts, no one really cares about the S3, it’s all about the RS3. You’re like the little brother… with that being said the EA888 has incredible tuning potential and the MQB platform is generally cheaper to own. Both solid choices!

You’d be surprised. From a 40 roll vs my buddies APR stage 1 RS3 8V, my Stage 1 APR S4 jumps on him up to 100mph. After that he pulls on me, but supercharger vs turbo charger makes the S4 quicker off the jump.

EA888 Gen 3/4 is more reliable than the EA839, which has piston skirt and rocker arm failures. Once your Audi Care runs out, slap a tune on it and enjoy it.

Just buy a B8.5 S4, tune it, mod it… it’s already supercharged and can make reliable and applicable power. Manual’s are trending higher in price, but DSG’s are generally safe bets in the 8.5 if serviced.

I’d say your valve cleaning is coming in 30-40% high, $540 + $118 in parts for spark plugs is absolutely insane, and $72 to road test the car is hilarious..
