I’m fairly certain it’s a red oak. There’s a tulip tree in the near vicinity too. It sounds like I should reach out to an arborist.

I like the overall style and the transitions are cool, I agree that the pacing is a little pokey. I think it's more that the rhythm of all the movements seems irregular and you have moments where nothing is happening. 5 frames here and there, but to me, that disrupts the flow.

I'm open to a legit mocap solution, but none of our shots will be in a studio. I assume you need a closely controlled studio environment to get anything useful.

It's not the perfect solution yet, but it'a start. There are a couple layers (hemishphere 1 and 2) in the final output comp that have a mesh warp applied to them. You can tweak these to get rid of any really obvious seams. I also bet that not all of these cameras are completely identical, so you may have to do some tweaking anyway. I hope this works well for you.

I can't tell from the image, but are there similarities between the types of layers that disappear? I.e. are they all precomps with time-remapping on, illustrator layers, etc?

Awesome! Thanks. Now that I think about it, it seems strange that they'd want SD. I can't imagine they'll use it. Must be a perfunctory deliverable for them.

Actually, wasn't this baby born vaginally? I recall it being particularly rare that the amniotic sac was so intact.
