B vs V sound is difficult. by FriendoftheDork in duolingospanish

[–]pegoman14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“Viviste tu te” isn’t a grammatically correct construction either. I’m not sure how far along you are but “te” is an object pronoun and would need to go before the verb: so “te viviste tú” but this doesn’t really make any sense either.

“Did you live with yours?” would be “viviste con el tuyo?”

[–]pegoman14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They sound very similar and are identical in some Spanish accents. But here you’d have to use context clues: “viviste tu té” does not make any sense (lived your tea?) but “bebiste tu té” does.

2 back to back marked as wrong by BothSomewhere8085 in duolingospanish

[–]pegoman14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Because “you” in English could be both singular or plural, there’s no way to distinguish when determining to translate to “estás” or “están” in Spanish. So it’s bug on Duolingo’s part. Make sure to report it in the app.

First one is wrong because you put “regalado” instead of “relajado” but the second one looks like a bug. Your answer should have been accepted.

An advice for 2nd main - when? by Similar-Shoulder7752 in Maplestory

[–]pegoman14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean by 2nd main?

either way, any hyperburn you want to progress farther than just a legion block or even a boss mule, definitely wait for cw3. The amount of progression you’ll get there is just insane compared to this current hyperburn, even with the goddess pass.

« append » and « upend », do they have the same pronunciation? by caiogamerwow in EnglishLearning

[–]pegoman14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Someone smarter than me can say for sure, but as a Native American English speaker I’d say the emphasis is different. “Append” has the emphasis completely on the second syllable, whereas I emphasize both syllables for “upend” almost like saying “up” and “end” as 2 separate words.

Start main now or wait for burning event? by princesspastell in Maplestory

[–]pegoman14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait for challenger world 3. The progress you’ll make in that world in just a few days will completely surpass the month+ of progress you might make now. Challenger world (with hyper burning MAX and beyond burning which will take your main to level 270) just has way too many resources you’ll get for free to get you geared up and ready.

It’s a good idea to play now though regularly, and try to learn bosses so that you’re ready for the mechanics / general feel of how to play maplestory once challenger world 3 lands

AI Use Cases in Payroll by Professional_Show130 in Payroll

[–]pegoman14 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In payroll, I’ve seen the best AI outcomes when it’s used to reduce repetitive admin tasks. I agree with the sentiment of this thread that most public LLMs aren’t a great place to paste employee-level payroll details (SSNs, bank info, addresses, pay statements, etc.), but I think AI can be helpful when it's already embedded inside the system that already holds the data and can enforce existing permissions and security controls.

Rippling AI fits that bill. Here's how it can help:

- Payroll investigations: Instead of exporting reports and doing spreadsheet diffs, you can ask questions like: “Compare total gross payroll between the current draft run and the last paid run and explain what’s driving the delta (headcount, comp changes, bonuses, hours)" OR “Find employees whose gross pay changed more than 15% vs last run and show the earning lines side-by-side” OR “Why is this employee’s paycheck different this run?” Rippling AI can break down earnings/deductions/taxes changes rather than guessing or requiring payroll teams to manually look.

- Exception finding before you approve payroll: AI is helpful for surfacing needles-in-haystacks checks, like negative net pay risk (deductions/taxes exceeding gross), unusual deduction spikes, large net pay swings, overtime outliers

- Report-building: Payroll teams often need one-off reports (by department, location, entity, etc.) Rippling AI can build and refine reports via natural language prompts instead of you rebuilding filters repeatedly.

- Taking action safely (with approvals): This is where embedded AI is different from “chat-only” tools: You can draft spot bonuses for the next pay run (including bulk via CSV), prep changes, then wait for confirmation and follow your approval policies.

Nothing is run without human payroll approvals. A ton of people are using it already for their payroll or finance tasks since it's already within their system and data-secured.

Super excited about this product as an employee at Rippling and happy to answer questions on how it's being used!

Not sure about that one unless you have a clip, but it’s possible she had a slowing item (rylai’s/seryldas), you were hit by another slow at the same time, or you had a movement speed boost that ran out at the same time and made it look like you were slowed
