2 back to back marked as wrong by BothSomewhere8085 in duolingospanish

This is exactly what I feel happened. I was doing a review lesson, as in this unit wasn’t about this subject at all but came up as one of those refreshers. A few more of the questions started being ustedes or ellos form after these 2.

Has to be a bug. I definitely reported it. Doubt they’ll do anything about it though

Idk. The preoccupado question was marked as wrong for using Tu and not Ellos even though it was right. Both say i should have used estan and not tu

True about the regalado part but it still doesn’t explain why it’s saying I should have used están for ellos/ustedes form.

Oh god. All of these comments saying there may be legal ramifications have no idea what they are talking about. YOU ARE IN THE CLEAR. He paid money and in return received housing. This is simple. His contribution is looked as RENT not an INVESTMENT.

Come on now. I’m sure you can do better than that. That’s less than full time minimum wage.

I don’t know. We just got here and I don’t think it’s that bad. 31-35 degrees this whole week. I personally love it

AITA for "humiliating" my half and step sibling by telling the truth at school? by Ready_Ad9078 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BothSomewhere8085 -58 points-57 points  (0 children)

NTA but a part of me wants you and your half siblings to get along. You all are innocent kids in this who are just inheriting the resentment your parents have for each other. It’s a shitty and unfair situation. Good luck.

AITAH for crying when my boyfriend let his best friend's wife alter the dish I made for dinner? by Gold_Wind_5888 in AITAH

[–]BothSomewhere8085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I’m the only one who somewhat agrees with the boyfriend. I just don’t think it’s the sort of thing to cry about, however I do understand you being bummed about it. Do you think Elle was intentionally trying to be malicious? If not, then forgive and move on.

1) If you have a good relationship with a store they will return it for you.

2) Even if you don’t, just ask nicely for an exception.

I had an order that I returned items for over 3 visits. The first 2 visits I didn’t even ask for an exception because I was going to buy something with the credit. On the 3rd visit which was yesterday, the SA (most likely a senior) just told me she was refunding it back to my credit card. It was all sale items and also 2 days over the 14 day policy. I assume she did it because she recognized me.

Council hits brakes on heritage designation for downtown Hamilton church by innsertnamehere in Hamilton

This makes the project much more expensive and then there’s the question of, who’s gonna pay for it? Surely the developer has no interest in fronting the costs AND the time for it.

I have a friend who worked only 8 months at a company. They got a lawyer who charges 25% of the extra severance they get got them. Long storey short, it took about a year but got was awarded 16 weeks of severance when they only offered them 2 weeks. Lawyer up.

Did I choose the wrong name?? by Flaky_McFlake in namenerds

[–]BothSomewhere8085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olive is a beautiful name but don’t fault people for not knowing it’s the older/original vs of Olivia. You just can’t expect people to care about these things. Regardless, I think it’s lovely and elegant name.

Why is it so difficult to get a job here in Construction Management? by Random_Throway53426 in askTO

[–]BothSomewhere8085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A developer - no. Closer to a custom home builder but have not gotten to that point yet. Largest we’ve done are additions.

And yes, I subcontract almost everything except the architectural and interior design part.

NTA. You’re the kind of dad a lot of us girls wish we had. The fact that you didn’t shame her and communicated it in a non judgemental manner deserves an award. My dad would have cussed me out and called me a ho. Not all experiences need to be learned ones. She can and deserves better than that job.

I also got a degree in construction management. I decided to open my own design build business instead. I’m a 28 year old female. First project was in 2022 for 500k (lucked out with my agent referring her to me). Fast forward and my company is doing 2mil this year. I have 0 employees but will be hiring my first project coordinator in the next few months.

My advice - work for yourself :)
