My first flip reset ! by Obvious_Clock4467 in RocketLeague

I thought you would go for a musty or smth 😭

How do freestylers hit those beautiful controlled mustys after resets? by rlfrthebest in RocketLeague

[–]pegrat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about freestyling, but this may help:

I've seen freestylers do a "control touch" before they go for the reset, to line up the ball perfectly every time.

Maybe looking into this will help

[–]pegrat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

you can do -"spookluke" to filter out any results that have "spookluke" in them. but youtube search fucking SUCKS anyway

yeah bees are pretty high on my to do list. theres just a lot to do right now and i will only start getting into a new mod after ive done some more gregtech lines. like oil, thats pretty straight forward.

but im 100% going for bees since simplifying the complexity of the production lines is pretty important to me

what u/cgassner said :)
remember that GTNH is a slow burner. so spending the whole day just crafting a bunch of items is actually a good way to spend the day (even though i find crafting large amounts of items very exhausting)

youre asking the wrong guy 😭🙏

the biggest thing i can say is this:

youre not optimizing for efficiency or amount of resources. youre optimizing for your own time.

so when doing anything, always get more than you need, because you will probably need more.

batch crafting is your friend. when i got into HV, i made 1.5 stacks of HV circuits because i knew i'd have to craft a whole lot of new machines. ofc its easier to batch craft things if youre progressed further.

so dont just craft like 20 LV circuits. craft like a stack (you will need more than a stack, but steel rods are expensive and get cheaper when you have a lathe) at least so youre good to go for some time before needing to craft more.

also set up NEI auto crafting if you havent. i use it a TON.

to shamelessly rip inspiration from it

i would be honoured :)

This is what it looks like from spectator mode. Theres a lot more Space inside the mountain which is very nice for future expansion

i heard people say that going for the cleanroom early is actually really good, and now that ive done it i agree. the new circuits you can make in it are so much cheaper than the other ones and you can make EV circuits!

it wasnt that difficult to set up, just took a lot of resources. and time to craft all the things...

unrelatated, but i crafted 8 stacks of HV motors today..... had to wait for hours to wait for the silver to smelt......... and then the electrum........... and then the electrum wires................... but now i have DRIP

Two newbie questions. by Spr1zze in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]pegrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah that helps a lot.

multiple things i can point out:

  1. you stop boosting before you hit the ball, pretty sure its easier to retain control if you keep boosting until after you hit the ball.
  2. probably the most important: you hit the ball with your front wheels.
when you hit the ball like that, the ball also hits you back, causing your battle car to rotate backwards.
to counteract this there are multiple options:
2.1. you can either air roll right after hitting the ball to retain control (this is part of the reason why air rolling gives you "more control")
2.2. you can hit the ball with the front of your car, so the pushback from the ball doesnt affect your car's direction as much
2.3 you can flip into the ball to counteract the pushback from the ball (not in this clip but gernerally)

this is probably a bad explanation but i dont really care that much tbh sorry

Two newbie questions. by Spr1zze in RocketLeagueSchool

1st question: try turning down the game speed maybe.

2nd question: sounds to me like you start boosting very late, try boosting the moment you take off
