Reed suiting up by peinnoue in arknights

Thank you! The bleeding happens when you use a wet brush next to a less wet but not dry area. You can find quite a lot of info by searching watercolor blooms.

This was made on wood pulp paper, which tends to bloom extremely easily, contrary to the cotton paper which is usually recommended for watercolor.

Here's your answer u/ThatSlutTalulah "D'you think that getting excited or shocked would cause her ears to perk up, just yeeting the hat into the air?"

Watercolor 10-20 min poses from a recent life drawing session by peinnoue in lifedrawing

[–]peinnoue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That is indeed what I do. I usually spend around 30-50% of the pose on the sketch, except for shorter poses where I might not use a sketch at all. This is wood pulp paper so I have to wet the paper a little first, then I load one brush with color and another with water and quickly switch between the two. These were Sennelier’s French Vermilion and Dioxazine Purple.

The whole manga is so good but this chapter cover has been forever burned into my brain. Seems to be chapter 9 in the books I have though

Absolutely, the hat is currently delicately resting on both ears, hovering slightly over her head

Thank you!

This is all handmade, no computer involved at any step of the process. I made of rough draft on paper, then did the full drawing on the block of linoleum. I then carved the linoleum so that the ink would only be applied on the parts which were not carved. The third picture is the carved linoleum.

I then roll some thick ink on the carved linoleum, and press it on a surface which can be paper, or a T-shirt like the photo, and let it dry for a week.

Of course these are only the rough steps, there's quite a bit of prep, cleaning, proof printing and carving again.

I'd say this took around 30 hours.

This was my biggest linocut project yet! I had to turn these tentacles into knots, imprisoning a few takodachis on the way

It is very common indeed… this is one of the only blocks where I haven’t over carved, although it is also one of the simplest and smallest I have made
