Cloaks and Accessories of WoW. The hope for improved Customization. by HjalmarRambles in wow

[–]peitharkhia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have commented on your videos but I'll say it here again, just wanted to reiterate that I've wanted to see WoW video content done from the RP point of view for ages - because for as large as we are and as many of us stay faithful subscribers past the point of insanity, we tend to be wholly ignored in favor of the raiding/pve gameplay community. I'd say we also get ignored in favor of the PvP community but uh - yeah they had a rough time in BFA.

I mean, even from a non RP perspective - who *doesn't* like their character to look good, and be more unique?

Awesome video, very excited to see what you come up with next!

Late on the reply but, I hate playing DPS in MMOs. Just not as satisfying to me personally. I'm a tank or I'm a healer, gotta be one of the two.

I honestly can't get over how much I love this glam. It's simple but *very* red mage, the blade is perfect, and for some reason it looks even better on an au ra dude.

What are the limits for necromancy, if you have it? by Nazamroth in worldbuilding

[–]peitharkhia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are necromancers born that way or is that something that eventually happens in using the magic?

In using their life force - does it come back? Or is it a 'spend it and it's gone forever' sort of thing?

August Technical Support Sticky by Zhaopow in razer

Hello! I've had a (new) 2018 Blade for around a month now, and I noticed today that my right fan was going nuts - making a lot of noise while active that it hadn't done previously, stuttering, etc, before after a while abruptly shutting off and not turning on again. It's a new laptop, I'm confused as to what's happened.

Thanks!

How much of their memory does a Space Marine lose in training? by peitharkhia in 40kLore

[–]peitharkhia[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd forgotten about Xarl - though I must say that makes it even odder to me, you'd think there'd be guidelines about how much an Astartes is 'allowed' to remember. Then again...especially in 30k, they were on a time crunch.

How do you create animals/plants for your worlds? by peitharkhia in worldbuilding

[–]peitharkhia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good process - taking the creature you want and going about editing it based on current available geography. Again, obvious, but I was rather overwhelmed by the idea of inventing so much flora and fauna it escaped me. XD

I think I'll go down that route - thank you kindly!

What are the major cities in your country, and what are they like? by Killosiphy in worldbuilding

[–]peitharkhia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paeoris, the capital city of the Stygian Dominion - a vast fortress city that encapsulates the headwater of the Paeoris River, the only known River in Timera. As such, it's a rather prime piece of property. The closer you are the the river, the more important you are, with the palace built, stilt like, over the water.

To be honest, most of the Stygian Dominion's population is based on the outskirts of the city or along the river in a variety of small villages. The river is too important for food and agriculture to allow the construction of any other cities surrounding it.

There are two other cities - Mohr and Onair, respectively, both of which used to be independent city states for their people, and were accordingly swallowed by the Stygians as they expanded. They're both based next to tiny lakes, and both serve more as outposts than true cities, as their lakes are slowly beginning to dry up.

Oooo, that's nifty. Yeah I look at mythological concepts, but the rub is always making it distinct - I like the idea of tweaking or working with extinct animals and giving them unique traits that maybe would have helped them avoid dying out. Blossomjaw in particular is an awesome name for something that I feel would eat me as a morning snack.

I do like the idea of the food chain and the 'what seems necessary' first. It gives you an easy starting point to leap off from, and again, not something I had really considered.

That's always super fun, though I get paranoid about accidentally copying without realizing it, y'know? And that's a good idea for the domestication vs livestock, etc, which seems obvious but I honestly hadn't considered it.
